Wonderful video! What a beautiful scale model! My father was a logger and I grew up around these large vehicles in the United States. Seeing this model brought back so many fond memories to me working with him. Thank you so much for sharing this! Have a wonderful day.

Hallo Björn, sehr schönes Review des Doll Langholz AROCS von SA. Bei "Made in Germany" würde ich mir auch ein paar mehr deutsche Worte wünschen. ;-) Eine kleine Anregung an ScaleArt und auch an viele SA Modellpiloten.... Gebt Euren Modellen doch bitte einen Fahrer. Es sieht nicht schön aus wenn ein Modell detailgetreu über den Parcours bewegt wird und dann ohne Fahrer. Gruss Heiko

Hallo, sehr schönes Modell. Top Arbeit. Ihr solltet die Belegung der Kanäle noch mal überdenken. Ich steuere ähnliche Modelle im LS15. Beim Palfinger(und alle anderen Kräne + Teleskop Lader) habe ich am linken Knüppel R/L die Drehung, V 1.Arm runter, Z Arm Hoch. Am Re. Knüppel Z 2.Arm runter, V Arm Hoch. R Arm ausfahren L einfahren. Also alle Fkt am re Knüppel die vom Körper weg gehen, steuern das Holz weiter weg vom Turm. So habe ich auf Kreutztasten auch R/L Zange drehen, Hoch Zange zu, Runter Zange auf -> also Runter Holz fällt runter. So lernt man schneller wohin das Holz geht, und macht nicht erst genau die falsche Bewegung, da der Kanal invers läuft. Intuitiv macht Ihr eh schon genau die Abläufe wie ich sie oben beschrieben habe.

I like to see this operating in a scale environment that this truck would be operating normally. ie Forests, rough tracks, lifting and hauling logs - hopefully it is robust enough to do these things. This way it is more normal than a table in house. Ask ScaleART to let you do this with a model and spend long enough to know its functions and demonstrate well, otherwise its a bit like demonstrating fishing rod in bath tub. But all that said, I like the video and the model is extremely well made on first impressions.

Hallo Björn, ein sehr schönes Modell, welches ich schon bei ScaleArt in Waldsee bewundern konnte. Ich habe allerdings eine Frage zu deinem Arocs Halfpipe, den du mit Premacon Felgen ausgestattet hattest. Ich habe die Achsen von Scaleart und die Adapternabe von Premacon, die allerdings nicht ohne Änderungen passt. Da ich neu bin im Modellbau, würde ich gerne auf deine Erfahrungen zurückgreifen und wäre dankbar die Tipps. Danke und Grüße, Roland

Hi Roland, ich würde Dir sehr gerne helfen, kann es leider nicht. Die Premacon Felgen wurden nach meiner Zeit mit dem Halfpipe installiert, ich hatte ihn vor einiger Zeit verkauft. Ich glaube aber, dass Du alles, also Felgen und Naben bei Premacon bekommst. Ich hoffe, ich konnte Dir helfen. LG Björn

Are all Scaleart models 1:14.5? Their trucks seem to be in 1:14.5, but their Unimog is listed on their site as 1:14.

Not fully related, but a note regarding wheels and tires: While Scaleart has pretty good relation between scale and tires (72mm tires on 1:14.5 scale gives a very good tire size of around 105cm in real life (usual truck tires are around 107cm in RL)), would you agree that Tamiya's wheels and tires are too big for their 1:14 scale? Tamiya's truck tires are 83mm, which comes to around 116cm in real life.
