Lets take a first look at the Trail Finder 2 Marlin Crawler from RC4WD. In THis video I do an overview and give you my first impressions of this awesome scale crawler. The TF2 platform has been around for some time and is one of the most scale realistic trucks that can be found.
Starting with a very stiff frame and super realistic leaf springs give this struck a foundation to make a super scale truck. The Marlin version comes with many upgrades out of the box. Chassis has a bobed bed, trimmed front valence, Steel winch bumper, plastic side sliders and rear bumper, and marlin double roll bar inside the scale drop bed. The chassis includes uppgrades like the Gelande front shock hoops with linger shocks, super soft leaf packs, and low profile delrin skid. The larger 1.7 beadlock wheels and IROC tires give this a competion look.
Included with the truck is a good quality Outcry 2 ESC, and powerful 45T motor. The servo and the transmitter leave a little to be desired. The battery and ESC plug choice are the main downfall to the truck. The included NIMH battery with old school Tamiya style T connector screams for an upgrade. However it does make this a true Ready To Run rig.
With tons of options and upgrade parts as well as RTR and kit versions of the TF2 you can easily modify and customize your truck in so many ways.
