Okay... so is it possible to create loops on each track that are entirely and truly free of any 'measure'? That drift away from one another over time. I'm thinking in terms of use for creating randomly evolving ambient textures.. with all tracks at different lengths and free of any quantisation to formal measure. Is such possible on these 505 machines? Thankyou

how do you set it to free but so different tracks can be different lengths? Now my overdub starts at the same lngth as my other tracks... Thanks!

Are you using the rc505mk2 at all? I am having troubles with the setting of all my loops lengths having their own time lengths I cannot seem to change

Press edit>scroll menu to loop lenght>set the numbe MK2 Is the same.

Ah, geez… Why don‘t you leave the technical stuff to the experts, and instead concentrate on what you are actually expert in? Any RC-505 user knows what you‘re showing here within less than tree days after getting the machine. There are so much better uses of an RC-505 that actually work for you in live, KZfaq, practicing, or just-for-fun settings than this. Please, teach what you know. We are so thankful for that. 🙂 And please don‘t get me wrong. As a multiinstrumentalist I really appreciate what you gave and give me on so many levels for different instruments. That‘s fantastic and amazing. But the RC-505 doesn‘t seem to be your tool - or it‘s just not your world. Try to actually compose something with multiple parts. Something you would perform with a band in front of an audience. Wow them. That would be a satisfying project. For you and your followers. 🤓 Love & peace & music.

@@NickSoden how can you judge if the comment is wrong when you‘re a beginner? 😁 Actually our teacher here is a beginner also. He makes a lot of beginner mistakes, like the accidental overdub on track 3. There are two ways of preventing this, but he obviously doesn‘t know about them (yet). One is to set the after recording parameter to play instead of overdub, the other one is to use the undo function. But the actual case in point is, that his suggestions are rather counter productive and don‘t really make sense. I‘m sure he‘ll discover a lot with time. But at this stage he (and his followers) would be better off, if he learned some more about the RC-505 before sharing his insights with us. 😜
