RCAF SAR CH149 103 Sqn Iceland 2016

103 (SAR) Sqn deployed to Iceland in February 2016 to conduct exercises with the Icelandic Coast Guard and ICE SAR organization. The objective of the exercise was to work on the tactical interoperability of Canada, Greenland and Iceland. Canada is a leader of the SAR Arctic Council and initiated the training to create connections in case of marine and land rescue in the North Atlantic region. The tactical connections made during the exercise will be a tangible asset to all involved in future missions in the North. The exchange of procedures and protocols will also benefit both Canada and Iceland for their respective SAR program at home. 103 Sqn has made the North Atlantic its playground and has now reenforced its friendship with an important ally in the region.

I clicked for the AW101, but that blue ice and scenery were just INCREDIBLE. What an awesome training mission that must have been for everyone involved. Thanks for sharing!

Almost ran into the 101 at Glymur waterfall, I was flying a Bell 407 that day and the 101 just "came around the corner of Hvalfell mountain. Nice to meet you guys :)

Awesome video. I've never seen the Cormorant in action at an airshow. So this is the next best thing. Seeing this bird in her element. Keep up the good work SAR crew.

It's funny how it her majesty the Queen at the end, when Canada is supposed to be a free and independant country, I recently discovered somethjng very sickening, the biggest land owner in the World is Queen Elisabeth II and her to biggest lands are Canada and Australia !! Which is very sad to know, so we aren't free at all lol

Ever heard of the Commonwealth realms: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, and the United Kingdom? All have Queen Elizabeth II as monarch and head of state.

First off she’s the queen of Canada and the UK which are two separate titles and secondly queen Elizabeth II does not own that land she governs it the difference being if you own the land the laws of the country your in if your logic was true every persons house would be a different country. Also the largest land owner in the world is the Roman Catholic Church at 70million hectares.

(Thoughty2) ) so take a look and then tell me if you think the same thing. interesting though, that's not what the video was saying, it really explained that she and her monarchy group where the biggest land owners in the World. Well, if she still governs Canada, then we really aren't a free country then lol
