Great idea. The only thing I would do different is turn the shell holder opening to the other side so brass could come in from the right. Take care.

Compression spring under handle ?

I know this is an older video but I have found something that works really well...better than duct tape. Take the hooked self adhesive backed VELCRO and cut a small piece to stick it into the same area that is indicated in this video. It acts as a shock absorber stopping the tube bounce and makes no noise at all. I did that a few years ago and it still is doing a great job. Just my 2 cents. Oh yeah....... TRUMP 1

Interested in the white plastic platform you use on the shell holder. Is there performance effect with that. Is this another improvement you made

J.What did you do to make the plastic platform fit to the correct feed position

Mine came with a spring 'wrapped' around the pivot bolt , and it keeps the handle in the home position, as your rubber band does.

I made spring behind handle around handle mounting bolt housing. Keeps handle in upper position.

Could also just put a spring under it
