You chose your spot well. Many reviewers are putting it straight on rocks that an AX10 would struggle with. It's not a rock crawler, it's a Trail Walker. The clue is in the name. Great review and excellent drive.

Good idea on Elements part to add a more scaler version. I definitely like this body a lot more than the Sundero, one piece and the shape just is a little nicer. The roll bar adds a nice touch as well. Great Video man. 👍👍👍👍👍

This was the video and vehicle that reignited my passion for RCs. There was something about how the tires would rub the body while flexing. It sounded unique to me then and still does. Here we are 3 years later and an updated rerelease. It’s nice but it’s not the same truck. It doesn’t sound the same. The tires don’t rub the body that certain way. I waited too long to get an original for myself. I don’t think I’ll get the new one. It wouldn’t be the same.

Love the angle of the front bumper. Great for the scale guys but add some 1.9 or 2.0 wheels and it's going to be a great crawler.

CJ Villaceran Yup, where it went in the lake was completely on the opposite side of the park from where I parked my car. Had to hike back to my Jeep, then drive home, dig out my fishing gear, drive back, hike back and finally fished it out. So happy it’s retrieved AND working!

That front bumper, which comes with the roll bar, will likely be a good seller... but as u said, wish they had come out with a better rear bumper to match... What rear bumper would u suggest, for good clearance, amd something plastic that isnt too spendy?

Is it possible to upgrade the wheels to 1.9 (will they interfere with the body, and require some trimming).. Was also thinking, if it needed some trimming to pick up some Redcat Gen8 ($8 for set of 4) wheel well flares and install them..

The Traxxas TRX4 Sport has lots of parts support and is a really great starter. RCDriver_Online has a great review of this awesome rig. It was my first crawler, and I’ve upgraded it and have had a ton of fun and learned a lot. The Element RC crawlers are good, and the Redcat Gen 8 is a great starter as well.

Mark Fehrenbach Hard bodies are fun to detail, look great on the trails and their weight can make things more realistic. I can see people sticking with them and not going back to lexan.👍

After watching hours of videos on this rig, I think this will be my first one! Love the body style it reminds me of a 85 chevy. Can you still upgrade the tire and shocks? And new to the channel

I have it as my first crawler the fenders scrape when you crawl and the differentials are big but you wont regret it I got mine for 300 plus like 80 for a 5000 mah lipo battery totaled at 403.73 and it only burned 2 of 4 bars of battery in 2 and a half hours I highley recomend

Greg, great reviews and details for us crawler newbies. I’m an RC plane guy, but am looking to get into crawling for some different kind of RC fun. Very interested in the Element brand and I like both the Sendero and Trailwalker. I’ve watched both of your reviews and understand the differences are obviously the body, bumpers, and then most significantly the wheel/tire size. I’m curious what your recommendation is for which would be the best one of these two to get as my first crawler? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I’d lean towards the Sendero. The slightly taller tire will be a bit easier to drive as you get into the surface side of RC 😁

Is lipo ready out of the box. The REEDY battery SHORTY PACK LIPO IS THE BATTERY TO USE RIGHT .ALSO CAN IT RUN A 7.4 2s v Flat pack Cause I have A team Associated RATROD and I have the Reedy 7.4 v 2s Flat pack.

rcdriver_online I'm stuck in my decision between this and the Redcat Gen8. What should I consider when making my decision between the 2? I live in Westchester, NY with great terrain, unclear how the tire size from the trailwalker will be impacted. I see you are in CT, would be great to stop at your shop. Hey man I have watched a lot of your vids sorry it took me so long to subscribe but I watch it on my Xbox really don’t know how to subscribe on that or even comment. I’m looking to get my first crawler what would u recommend with a budget of $1000 with something I can do some add on to make it realistic, i will be changing the body on it to a Square body Chevy. Just wound like to know what u would go with and the up grades you would do. Keep up the sweet vids man I like watching them

Assuming the first truck was a 70’s/80’s D series Dodge truck this new body has an element (get it 😂) of 73-87 C/K GM pickups with those tail lights hood and wheel wells and the rest of it kinda has like a 70’s Jeep J10 Gladiator vibe the side graphics definitely screams late 70’s/ early 80’s 4x4. Element RC is definitely albeit generically channeling when Domestic Truck’s were Truck’s (not a bad thing) but if I get one the body is the first thing that goes in favor of something licensed and if this current body is anything like the last definitely something thicker that will take a tumble the Sendero’s body seems flimsy to me.

Personally, I think that it looks to much like a toy grade. They REALLY need to start including licensed bodies and better looking tires and rims. If I didn't know what this was and just glanced at it, I wouldnt be too impressed because it doesn't look like a quality truck. But we all know that underneath the body, it is really good.

josh_rit A licensed body would be nice. But those cost money in licensing fees that raise the final cost of the truck. Perhaps if Element sees enough people asking they’ll entertain a licensing deal.
