RC Girl 🏎 sure, recently I have been attempting to construct a new speed run challenge. Trying to have a challenge where you can use any vehicle, on any terrain and see if you can cover 3 miles in under five minutes. I had the timer set up on my phone but it would have been quite a bit easier to have the timer right on my transmitter with out having to fiddle with another device. For the price. Thanks! There weren't a ton of videos on it, and the ones that are available just show a quick unboxing so I wanted to give a sense of the programming potential. Took me a while to learn it myself haha

Haha yeah it's a bit finicky but you can adjust the sensitivity in the utility settings. I'll have to play around with that myself. Someone commented on my instagram that he was able to program the hi/low speed and locking diffs in his rugged. I'm sure someone will make a vid on that soon.

Yeah the receiver cost for spektrum transmitters is a bit steep for sure. I know they make DSMR compatible off brand ones (e.g., orangeRX) that are substantially cheaper and I might end up going that route.

@@RCGirl are there already third party DSMR receivers available? If I remember correctly, the orange ones were DSMX only. It would be nice to have cheaper options. Even though I would prefer cheaper originals, than "inspired" ones.

RC Girl, yes the SRS6000 from Spektrum is at 99.99$ US but on deal at 79.99$ US on Spektrum web site and Amazon.com. Not sure from Spektrum site but it is Free US shipping from Amazon. The great things about those AVC technology is you can use it in any of your vehicles and will working the same great way for any of those install into it. I’m still looking to figure about telemetry TM1500 (SPM6742) add on and how to setup it to get this work with SRS6000. I read it is compatible and are working well together. This will be in my future buy. I think you are right that scale R/C is a good idea for getting more women involved. That is why I bought her the two Tamiya cars. They are very scale. I know that she will never build an R/C car but she might like going to nice quite place to run an R/C car or truck. What do you think?

It's great still. the touch wheel still is finiky and receivers are pricey, but otherwise it's been really nice. The dx5c is the same programming, but without the "rugged" look and is cheaper. I'd probably recommend that if you don't care about the water resistant stuff

Depends on what receivers you currently run. It needs to be run of DSMR or DSM2 compatible spektrum receivers. I run the SR515 in most of my rigs. That's kind of the one downside is that receivers are a bit on the pricey end depending on how many channels you want. They come in 2, 3, and 6 channels I believe
