TCS reveals recruitment plan; will hire 40,000 techies in India 🇮🇳
Amidst a high rate of attrition and the fear of a recession, several companies are on a hiring spree, including TCS (Tata Consultancy Services). Since the aftermath of COVID 19, the IT giant has been recruiting for a variety of technical positions. The company is also seeking to hire freshers through recruitment drives.
Now, the largest IT company in the country is ready to hire 40,000 techies. TCS stated that in addition to 40000 staff, 1,000,000 freshers will also be recruited. There are now 5,92,125 employees working at TCS. Candidates pursuing BE, B.Tech, ME, and M.Tech may apply by visiting the company's official website.
Qualifications in education
Candidates who earned their engineering degree in 2019, 2020, or 2021, with a "minimum aggregate (all subjects in all semesters) of 60% or 6 CGPA in each Class X, XII, and Diploma can apply.
Eligible candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in any specialisation given by an accredited institution or college.
How to apply
Step 1: Applicants must first go to the TCS Next Step site.
Step 2: Create an ID on the portal. Portal access is granted upon successful authentication of a registered user.
Step 3: The next step is for new users to select the "Apply for Drive" button.
Step 4: Choose the "Register Now" button.
Step 5: Click on the "IT" drop-down menu.
Step 6: Click the "Apply for Drive" button once you have filled up the application form with your personal information
TCS has hired 42,000 freshers so far in FY23 but only 7,000 people were hired in the third quarter. Gopinathan, however, had said in December that hiring sentiment would remain benign in 2023 compared to the first few months of 2022, reports The Economic Times.
Over 2,000 employees, however, left TCS in the October-December quarter but the company said this wasn’t because of less demand. Attrition also came down marginally from 21.5% in the second quarter to 21.3% in the third quarter. “We’re not pulling people off the field,” added Gopinathan.
