I'm not interested in going into metallurgy myself, but I needed this information for a story I'm writing which involves it, and I want it to be historically accurate. Thanks so much for putting this info out there, it's shockingly difficult to find a basic explanation for these things. You're very good at explaining in an engaging way.

Only 2 comments? What a criminally underrated video.

I'm hooked, this is amazing stuff. Thank you for tying in the history so seamlessly with the chemistry/physics of these "materials". You're great!

This was very refreshing, thanks! Just finished watching a pretty dated BBC series titled Out of the Fiery Furnace totalling 7 hours. Needed so much to fix this gap in my education.

I was wondering how we used bronze before iron, because i though iron would be simpler. This video has answered that for me 👍

Such a great video with tons of information, thank you very much, do you have any online courses?

Hi, thanks so much! Bad news is that I don’t have any online courses in this subject, the good news is that all of the lecture content is available for free on my channel: kzfaq.info/sun/PLKaojPU8IOnEfdu0QxTsFTKy8KzFL5KfQ

Both the bronze and the iron age were shaped by silver,

He's a smart fellow no doubt, but the lack of any kind of imagery makes this a little uninteresting

If I made this again I’d probably add pictures, but on the bright side, with this version, you won’t be missing anything if you’re just listening while doing something else.
