So far it seems like a fairly simple build, if you need the cutting area (as in my case) its 100% worth it...even just to get around the TERRIBLE build quality of these units in their stock form!

Have been thinking about doing a similar mod to the k40. Can you give me some info on the v rail extrusion structure you built? I'm assuming the grey parts are 3d printed?

Does the design have anything for a cutting bed? Like the honeycomb beds a lot of laser cutters have?
