I love these new versions but the previous version video was a great example to show that you can create beautiful cards with minimal inexpensive materials.

I am always surprised at how so many people can come to the “ talented artist, builders, mechanics” KZfaq for how to and yet feel free to criticize your work. Thank you for your beautiful work and showing many of us how to paint simple and sweet gifts for others. Like the red so much more.

Hello Emma, I’m forever in your debt. I watched your ‘1st edition’ of this video Thanksgiving Weekend, 2020. Not like “oh wow, can’t wait” instead, more of, “hmm, yes, maybe, let’s see.” I’d purchased art supplies for my children but never a brush etc since 5th grade. Every time I have ever bought mistletoe is has always had red berries on it if any, I think the red is much more festive than the white. I love all of the cards, both the new and the old. Thank you.

Haha, I love that you called out the mistletoe berry people and found out that mistletoe can indeed have red berries, AND it can have pink ones too. I do typically see white berries but I totally agree, when you’re painting, you can do whatever you want. If someone wants realistic, they can take a photo, lol.

I personally didn't realize mistletoe had white berries! I've always seen red berries & I prefer the red because I like colors to pop 😄😊 Love your tutorials & I'm looking forward to purchasing your new book! 😊👍👍

I am one of those people that prefer to do my leaves away from my body as well. Some artists do it towards their body and it's just not comfortable for me to do it that way at all! So much easier for me to have my strokes go away from me lol

I really liked watching the first time you did these and I enjoyed watching this one too! I think that if one wants to do the white berries- they should probably be painted with white paint to have the punch that the red ones do.

Red berries are a big YES. Love all your work but the new versions, to me, are more colorful and, therefore, more joyful. I love the colors of Christmas and the manner in which you changed values on these new cards was awesome, both improving their appearance AND giving me some new techniques to work on. Love watching your tutorials! I did the originals with your tutorial last year for Christmas cards, I love them all but the pine cones were great because I struggled doing them before your tutorial. Thank you for sharing your talents I so appreciate being able to learn from you💕 I still go back to your basics for beginners to practice as they are so helpful when I haven’t been able to paint for awhile and I’m still much a beginner 😊

Agreed! Red berries are the way to go! I loved both of the videos. I feel like the pinecone in your older video looked more realistic but the greenery in this video was better on that picture.

Hi I did the cards last year for my cards got very carried away! My favourite season is autumn I love the colours and kicking up all the dead leaves on the floor.
