The 2023 NBA offseason featured a ton of big moves like the Bradley Beal trade to the Suns and the Damian Lillard trade to the Bucks, and I wanted to re-grade the 2023 NBA offseason. #nba #nbaoffseason #nbagrades

Honestly, you can't meaningfully grade the whole Dame thing until after the playoffs. He was brought in to make them a stronger playoff team. If they win the chip, it's an A+.

Yeah, I think he’s leading the league in 3pt%, which ain’t to shabby.

Grayson Allen might be the best or at least top 3 role Player in the league. You can argue that he’s better than Beal
@JusAObserver2 ай бұрын
It's not even an argument. Grayson has been vastly more impactful than Brad Beal. Even when Beal plays he doesn't feel impactful. The definition of empty stats.

I mean Beal is asked to do a lot more it’s not even a fair comparison. Allen is very rarely asked to handle the ball and create for others, all he used for is shooting

Jordan poole has been doing better since coming off the bench, averaging 23.7pts, 4ast, 3 reb shooting 50% from the field, 38% from 3 and 90 from the line. He takes a lot of shots and is a defensive liabilty, but he can definitely be a spark plug for a team off the bench. He just isn't cut out to be Batman or Robin.
@batez38242 ай бұрын
yea i just think the issue is in relation to his contract he should be the guy or providing more
@bpdmf27982 ай бұрын
So he's a Batgirl
@SnoozzeYT2 ай бұрын
@@batez3824 The warriors gave him that contract in hopes that he could help lead them to more titiles, but the beef between him and draymond wayleighed that. It should have been obvious from his last year in Golden State that he is not a 1 or 2 guy and yet the wizards picked him up in hopes of that. It's not a bad contract if he was on a contendor to offer a spark off the bench

IMO the problem in Milwaukee is 99% the coaching. Dame + Giannis should be a great combo. Dame really opens up the floor for Giannis. I don't know what they have left but another perimeter shooter would help even more. But that person would have to be a 2 way player, they can't weaken their defense even more. Possibly Klay. Watch your mouth when you talk about Poole!! He simply had an ego problem and he really stepped up ever since he got benched. He still plays starter minutes. He's a starter in every way but name. What makes this so effective is that the name is all Poole cares about lol. I believe in the kid.

What about the Blazers side of the trade?
@erikripley92852 ай бұрын
the beal trade grade is TBD as how he is in the playoffs will determine if it was a good trade. As is he has played 42 games vs CP3 who's played just 46. that's what the suns gave up. In those 42 games he's been really good. The big 3 are starting to find their rhythm together and their roles related to each other with beal being a more drive and kick set up guy who is also leading bench units. Overall it's trending in a direction that looks good for the trade. The Nurk for ayton trade was a good trade on its own but it is almost criminal that you did not bring up that the suns also got Grayson Allen in that trade who has been unbelievable this year. Allen alone bumps that offseason up to a B+ if not a A-. If beal is good in the playoffs its an A+ offseason

I think Jerami Grant is the answer for Bucks or Sixers. Maybe even Cav who clearly need a good wing player with there guards and bigs. I guess his 5 year 150mil contract is an issue but if Bucks can trade Middleton or Harris contracts expires. Cavs can trade pieces. Jerami Grant isn’t that impossible in my eyes for the improvement it would be for all teams mentioned.

The Bucks problem historically was always half court offense, bringing Dame vastly improved that because not only can he create his own shot, he's also a pretty decent PG. The problem is that he would be ideal next to Holiday, but the Bucks decided to keep Middleton instead... That's why this trade gets a B in my book as well. But to be fair, let us wait until the playoffs, so that we can better judge this trade. I think that with the addition of Pat Bev, the Bucks can do really good against any team, if healthy. From what i have seen, the Bucks don't match well against young athletic teams like the Pacers, but can do really good against the Celtics or Nuggets for example. Everything depends on who they will face during the playoffs. ✊🏀
@bpdmf27982 ай бұрын
They didn't "decide" to keep Middleton, the blazers likely refused the trade because Jrue is more valuable, and of course he is, they traded him for picks, Brogdon, and RW3.
@JayTeeGR2 ай бұрын
@@bpdmf2798 I agree, without Jrue the Dame trade would never happen, but i disagree that they even put Middleton on the table and got refused by the Blazers, because i don't think he was ever in a trade scenario. They went and extended his contract, while him being injured...which means he couldn't be traded at that moment the Blazers deal was happening. This goes for Lopez as well, but at least Lopez is active...Middleton has barely played the last two years!

How do you leave getting Grayson Allen this off-season out of your equation for the Suns? Even Bol Bol and Eric Gordon for that matter. Both of them have contributed meaningful minutes.

The suns flipped ayton for nurkic and Allen so I'd have to give it a A cause they got the best 3 point shooter in the league and a big who is engaged and cleans up the glass ( 31 boards vs okc) for a player who they didn't even wanna give the max too , Beal is more iffy sure they didn't really give up anything for him besides cp but man health for the 3 has been so inconsistent I'd have to wait post season to even judge that but rn that still a b- for cost

From a value perspective, the Beal trade just made too much sense. CP3 as great as he is, has declined pretty substantially and we were paying him way too much money. We either waive him and have cap issues, or trade his contract for another massive contract for a better value guy, only one available is Bradley Beal. I don’t LOVE the trade since Beal has barely been available, but what else were the suns supposed to do? Also the DA trade was an A+++. DA had way too many quirks and was almost unplayable against the nuggets. Everybody knew he wanted out and somehow we got Nurk who just that alone is worth it plus Allen who has been phenomenal AND Nassir Little who when healthy has been a 9-10 rotation guy in our team that lacked depth coming into the year
@vulcanraven97012 ай бұрын
