If your river is affected by the tide Mikey there could be a layer of saltwater under the fresh water cause fresh water an salt dont mix very well

Yea this creek I was fishing in is way, way upstream. The tide does effect it… but early in the year after the wet this water I’m certain was at least 95% fresh. Pretty crazy.

Mikey, That's documentary level there mate. Again well done on great footage from a D-Town lad to you. So much want to visit this haunt of yours and meet all these genuine guys. Have spent a bit of time up the road at Manangoora Station out fishing but always wanted to have a look at King Ash Bay and beyond. Cant wait for you to jag an epic session on the Bazz of massive size given you put in the miles for the smiles mate. Well done again mate.

Yea mate, it’s good fun. Aussies play it once a year on Anzac Day. It’s a special day for people from Australia and New Zealand. A lot like Remembrance Day. 2 up was played by soldiers in World War 1. It’s good fun when you’ve got a big crowd.

They are made by Shimano exclusively for Tackle World Rod and Rifle in Katherine mate. If you aren't in the area, I'm pretty sure they have an online store too. Don't let the size fool you, they are tough little rods too.👍🏼

Mikey re day 6 late arvo fishing you were very close to edge of water. Were crocs a concern or nil in that area? Great to have you back. Videos are great.

Yes mate. It’s open to members and guests. Jump in the King Ash Bay Fishing Club website. It has up to date information on camping and other accommodation options there.

Crikey… I dunno. They are adjustable. For comparison, I wear a size 62 Akubra (which is pretty big) and the Gulf Mud Crabber cap fits me perfect when I adjust the thing on the back to the last 3 holes. Hope that helps.

Chopper Rods mate. Made by Shimano. Available exclusively through Tackle World Rod and Rifle in Katherine. They are awesome. 🤠👍🏼

The price of crabs varies heaps throughout the year. They get paid per KG. One crab will be worth maybe $10 to $30 to the crabber. Maybe 40 crabs per basket.

I’ve caught a couple of Papuan Jawfish in Darwin Harbour. They have bigger eyes right on the front of his head. They are kind of similar to the 3 Spines Frogfish I guess. 👍🏼

Yes mate. No laws in the NT stopping commercial or recreational fishos from keeping Jennys. The crabs are very plentiful here. 👍🏼

Hi mate... I was trying to clarify what you were asking. You asked for either more or longer videos on the mothership. And I already made lots of long videos last year featuring that boat. So I was trying to work out if you specifically wanted to see more of the boat. Or just more videos where we are out utilising the boat. Hope that's makes sense mate.

So you do realise salt water is heavy compared to freshwater ? So where do except a salt water mud crab to be on the bottom normally in deeper gutters Just where they are in flood water times
