I feel like the reason why folklore and evermore were said to be “fictional” is because a lot of the songs are now confirmed to be about Matty (cardigan, the 1) and Joe helped her work on them. Would be really awkward to ask your current bf to help you write about the guy you’re still fantasizing about..

This is so well made and omg I was thinking the same thing, especially about tolerate it, she says in so long London “and you say I abandon the ship but I was going down with it, my white knuckled barren grip” and I always wanna sing “where’s that man who threw blankets over my barbed wire” there not even that similar my mind just immediately goes there
