The Spirit Gun is from an anime called Yu Yu Hakasho. It's one of the classic OG anime among others like Dragonball and Naruto. :) Would actually recommend it personally. The guy in the green outfit is the MC. lol

Well his taste in isekais is at least questionable😂 One of his big recommendations was an isekai with a vending machine and I watched it and I couldn’t believe I watched something so 💩. At least it was funny calling it “Stuck in the Vending machine”

Why do his opinions carry "weight"? He's just a guy with decent taste. He makes entertaining videos but he's by no means a REVIEWER. Even if he was, his takes are questionable sometimes.

@@GOTGames Yeah, I've heard that's become the KZfaqr hut of the UK :D Felix (PewDiePie) used to live there before moving to Japan as well. Gigguk now lives in Japan (since the end of 2019), but this video was definitely made way before that.

13:58 So, around here there was a weird cut in the original video, probably because gigguk had to delete a little part of the video due to copyright (he used the "Dont you forget about me" song again for a montage) So yeah... Just a little explanation But you didnt miss anything important

It's worth noting that this was made after Season 1 (note that the Who's Rem scene at the end of the directors cut was not part of the original run), so the "Who's Rem" joke is really just a reference to it happening in episode 17 and Gigguk got "lucky" that it ended up blowing up when Season 2 came out (Gigguk didn't read the source material at the time).

Luke would definitely enjoy them (the IF story summaries, how magic works and the real ending to season 2 (but maybe he should skip this one)). Plus they are nicely spoiler marked, making it really easy to skip future spoilers without missing too much.

Nothing on the internet has damaged Re:Zero's reputation like this video. No joke, we've seen many people who complain about Re:Zero, and they've only watched Gigguk's Re:Zero 8-Minute Video.

@@lichmourne00 Nah a lot of the jokes stem from Garnt misunderstanding the show and/or the characters which is why a lot of Re Zero fans find it to be cringeworthy, and because the video became so incredibly popular it did unironically damage the show's reputation.

Jeez I forgot how painful and cringe that video was to sit through. You can tell it was made by someone who didn’t understand even half of the nuances or why things were happening and characters were making the choices they did in season 1. The attack on titan one was a lot better imo

lol this video was pretty fun to watch once we finished the 1st season. The Ram thing is true cause I remember when it's the twins birthday, there's an irl ReZero event for it and it's like they only remembered Rem despite them being twins lol. And Ram won't fall for Subaru cause she already likes another clown haha. The part where Subaru "ripped off" a move from another anime is referring to YuYu Hakusho which was created by the author of Hunter x Hunter (I recommend YuYu Hakusho OP's and EDs cause they're pretty good! I would love to see you revisit the first Spice and Wolf opening Tabi no Tochuu. There is a great version of it that is the live studio version. You could check it out along with the new opening and ending for the remake that is coming out in April.

Yes Gigguk is British though he is ethnically thai and now lives in Japan. He is also currently the biggest anime youtuber on the scene (unless you of course count Gawr Gura).

Hey if you like this style of parody-summary there's a french channel called Re:Take who started as translations of Gigguk's videos like this one but now they have a bunch more (including FMA which is great). Of course they are in french but there's subtitles on most of them.
