I watched all three episodes myself and I'm impressed. The writing could've been better but as a premise, it's enjoyable. The animation is so clean especially in the other world. I can say that Harley is going to be one of my favorite female characters in the new season with her facial expressions.

I don't think anyone expected Amanda Waller of all people to dance in the ED. ^^ I have no idea where this show is going, except for one thing: Sooner or later there'll be a switch between Harley and the princess. She looks like Harley without the makeup, down to the hairstyle. I wonder if that means this other world is a mirror of ours, like the mirror universe in Star Trek.

That Katana/Harley fight was straight up goofy. I was crying when Katana was swinging and Harley wasn’t anywhere near her, ignoring whatever that was everything else was great 😂

Yea I think they were trying to go for a more realistic approach to that fight but failed badly and instead just made it weird and clunky, but the other fights have been great so far

I’m going to say it, the plot is highly contrived and makes little sense at times, but man it is a fun ride into insanity. As stupid as the title is, this anime knows what it is and does not take itself very seriously. I actually like it, the non stop action, crazy amount of violence, the terrible decisions and strangely hilarious misinterpretations, what’s not to love? If you get nothing else out of it, just watch for the sheer entertainment of it all, you won’t be disappointed.

I was very curious about this one. Not really into DC and all that but the Batman franchise was my favorite out of those series of stories and whatever. So when I heard that a legit anime was being made starring Harley Quinn and some other characters I was on the edge of being onboard but I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy it especially since it was an isekai. Glad I’m the kind of guy that watches stuff before making any opinions because these three episodes flew right by! I’m almost surprised some people are calling bad and mid already. Thanks to that game that came out not too long ago the timing is pretty bad, like the opposite of kaiju No. 8’s situation. Anyhoodle, I for one am sold.

I am excited to see more of this anime. This is the first time I am watching anything suicide squad related (outside of clips) even though I have the DVD for the suicide squad movie I have not watched the movie. (I believe it’s unopened too) I really love the opening and ending themes, but I think the opening is strange for an opening, it’s unique. And the animation I also think is very unique, but I don’t really like how the faces are drawn at times, especially the rowdy prison inmates in episode 3 during the flashback.

I was on the fence with this. But damn i do like it. There's comedic writing here that you dont usually see in japanese media. Rick Flag Orc translations, Deadshot's prison homie backstory - these are very western minded jokes that I enjoy seeing in an isekai world. I'm burnt out on the Superhero Genre since - the MCU started fugging things up post endgame. Not much of a DC guy either - but taking those sensibilities and clashing them with isekai tropes - Im liking what I see. The group of 5 they have has good comedic chemistry too.

I was very excited when this was first announced and man did it meet my hopes. It is just a lot of very good fun so far. I am just praying that it is not a 1 season thing and that whenever this gets an English dub that John Cena will voice Peacemaker. Only thing I am just confused by is everything with Katana. Considering where she aligned compared to our main squad and knowing her character. Hopefully it gets clarity that makes sense but man I am hungry for more.

Yup, 3 eps in, and I already want the next cour/season. There´s so much you could do with that new world, the other villains and Waller´s meddling. C´mon, they said the previous group "run off" (deserted), but Katana (who is supposed to be one of the "good guys") is working with them and for the Empire. And shouldn´t they all also have bombs? Why didn´t they all go ka-boom? I think everything is (was) going according to Waller´s keikaku (keikaku means plan), and she wants the two sides (Kingdom and Empire) to fight so she can steal the resources.

The bit before they got isekai'd actually felt like an old American TV cartoon, from the slow-mo Harley fighting scene, down to the generic police cars. I think they were going for that feel. After they got isekai'd everything went anime style.

Before that, this anime is in production for how long? Who is the rights holder? What is the objective of using Japanese animation as a media this time? Who is the market for this media? Did the original character change from how they use to be depicted in the western comic? Lastly, it made for which target audience?

Aside of Waller dance, MJ Clayface and Harley cute design. I noticed that this Suicide Squad members might be the peak A Team. Not like "A-Team" cannon fodders like live action sequel but the top members of Suicide Squad from past to present. Deadshot, Peacemaker, Harley and King Shark. While Clayface didn't have any history of joining Suicide Squad before, he was still a A-List Batman rogue and might be count as guest star member. All we need is Captain Boomerang and we get an All-stars Suicide Squad team.

I did not like this as much as you did I thought Joker looked to much like gang members from Batman beyond and you are right that the voice work is top notch. clayface is saying that the plot is having a hard time moving. There was some fan service in the first episode that was needed. I think the princesses needed to advance the plot some.

It hasn't clicked for me ... Ok... it doesn't look half bad if we ignore that someone pukes color across the screen. They nailed Harley, she's fun ... but that's it. The same recycled bomb-in-the-neck-story as before, just with another world. It's "ok" at best ... Looking back at the last seasons it's kinda bottom-of-the-barrel for me personally.
