@@markbrecher4914 It’s Paramount; they apparently like shitting on their own shows!!! One of their biggest hits, Yellowstone, yet somehow they can’t get a script for season 5 done on time to get it filmed before a writers strike and for some reason they can’t manage to work with the actor playing the “main character” to give him time to work on his own projects(he was a director and producer of movies before he signed on to play this character, it’s quite understandable that he might want time somewhere during the filming if one show to work on a project of his own), but when he asks to film all of his scenes for the season in like 5 days they can’t accommodate him so the entire show essentially gets shit canned over petty bullshit!!!

KJ didn't know it, but as soon as he admitted he murdered Reacher's brother, he signed his own death warrant. Before, Reacher was dismantling the organization, yes, but KJ made a fatal mistake most bad guys who don't think things through do: he made it personal.

I always found the kid kliner kinda boring after the great build up earlier in the season. He is just an insane guy who anyone with half a brain would not follow over his father, because his father was a shrewd businessman who was adept at creating criminal enterprises and creating wealth for everyone involved while his son is just a crazy guy willing to kill anyone and doesn't seem to have the same ability or intelligence.
@maxducoudray

Agreed. Probably the only weak spot in an otherwise enjoyable show. He was just too cartoonish, and him being the “final boss” didn’t seem believable.
@TheMooseCaboose

I would argue that while his father was shrewd, he wasn't smart enough or have the emotional capacity to handle the business if he couldn't recognize that his son was one of the "loose ends" of the business. Clearly his kid was a problem from the beginning for the father, but the father just couldn't send the message home. I see where you're coming from though... it's an interesting point. Exposition is used to let the audience know what happened. At some point the story has to make sense to the viewer. If they don't know why and how things are done they can't follow the story. It doesn't look sophisticated but that's just how the medium works. You have to tell the viewer what happened. If there was a better way of doing that they'd be doing it.

@@howardtreesong4860every story in existence has exposition, but it’s a failure of imagination to really believe that this is the only way to provide it. “If there was a better way of doing that they’d be doing it” this is ridiculous. Show, don’t tell. All this should’ve come up organically. A better writer would’ve at least made the literal verbal exposition more naturally brought about.

@@derekcheesball1248 Derek, there are realities about shooting film. You're not wrong that 'show don't tell' is how you do it but you can't show everything. There's no time, there's no resources, there's no money. "My brother was a hero pilot in the war." Cue a scene of the brother being a fighter ace. Who's going to pay for that? You? There are realities about shooting film, Derek. Even you can't get out from under those.

@@howardtreesong4860 you don’t write yourself into situations like that. That’s part of the job of being a screenwriter. It’s a false equivalence, anyway. We’re talking about the lazy exposition dump of the antagonists revealing all their evil plans at the end for no reason other than the fact that the writers couldn’t integrate that into the actual plot. Every other quality TV show or film that doesn’t have a cliche villain speech manages to do that. It’s not at all a question of budget, especially given the actual content of the video and what the comment is criticizing.

The KJ told Jack that he killed Jack's brother, he must have known that Jack would dedicate every second from that point onward to find an opening to snap his head clean off. Because the likelihood of him genuinely just being that suicidal after all he's done is higher than the likelihood of him having been born with such little grey matter that he thinks letting Jack roam free after telling him exactly how much of a piece of waste he had been is a good idea. That, brother, is a death warrant even the Devil won't compete to close. _Because even the Devil knows to stay the _*_f*ck_*_ out of the way of Jack Reacher getting revenge._ There's a saying, 'Dumb as a rock.', but i don't think it quite applies.
