fun fact: i live in surrey british columbia, canada. they film riverdale all around vancouver / lower mainland area, but they mostly film in fort langley. someone was driving and stopped at Pop's restaurant, thinking that it was a legit 1950's themed restaurant, and he walked in and sat down at a booth. someone had to explain to him that the restaurant is actually a set. the diner used as Pop's is called Rocko's Family Diner, and when they aren't filming they're open for the public. loads of people go there to get milkshakes and to take pictures because the inside of the diner is exactly what you see on TV.

I love how the girl who keeps on complaining about how inaccurate the show is with the comics obviously hasn't interacted with the NEW Archie comments from the last five years. Archie has moved into darker themes, and Riverdale has completed the transition.

"Overrunning theme is that Archie is a good guy." Yes, because in the comics he hadn't abandoned Betty multiple times to go on dates with Veronica and multiple girls and vice versa. Riverdale Archie is an accurate replica of Comic Archie. Minus the freckles and the clumsiness.

Another side note to the girl who was talking about basing the show off the comics: at the beginning of each episode it says "based off the CHARACTERS from Archie comics" so they never claimed to be basing it off any other aspects of the comics

okay but the whole murder mystery theme isn't that far off because back in the day there was also a cartoon called "Archie's Weird Mysteries" that for a while i thought i had imagined because no was talking about it and i was like 'why am i the only person that knows about this?' but it existed!!
