I’ve had two things make me cry out of happiness within the past few years The first was when my friend told me about how much I’d helped her and how much she appreciated me, I was bawling, it meant the world to me that I could do that for someone just by being their friend The second was when I was visiting my mom and baby sister, she’s only a little kid, and she brought me a little book, and each page was like one word recaps of Star Wars: A New Hope, and she just read it to me, she’d started learning to read, and I was just so proud of her

I think the metaphor they meant in Bao by the mom eating the child is that the mom said some really bad things to him. Like when people say they will chew someone up and spit them out.

The Bao one hit me hard. I lost my mom recently. You never realize how much time you have with them or how much you rely on them. My dad never did anything with me so my mom played mom and dad. She did cooking, cleaning, paid for college, helped me through tough times with my petty high school drama, heard me talk about guys that would never like me back. My dad found my goals in life too far for me to reach, where my mom told me they weren't high enough. My mom was such an amazing woman and now I'm living on my own and I still cry very night thinking about her. I love her so much and visit her almost every week. Please, I beg of you guys, please keep a close relationship with your parents. 19 years went by so quick, it doesn't even seem like I really knew my mom. Time will go by so quickly.. Show your parents you love them, even if its just taking them to a meal or cooking one for them, visiting them for a couple of minutes before work. I wish I had had more time with her that night before, so please don't take it for granted.

This is the second time I watch this, and this time, tears are flowing like the didn't before. Having my beloved wife ending our relationship really opened up my heart again. Not sure if I should thank her, though. LOL. :_(

I was really tearing up during the last one but when Tom started talking about his mom I couldn't hold it. I'm going through that right now and it's one of the things I think about all the time.
