13:43 Exactly! And if people would actually watch the commercial instead of instantly jumping into a fiery rage, the woman is clearly HAPPY with the gift. She was excited when she saw it, she said she was "nervous BUT EXCITED" for her first time using it. It was made abundantly clear that this is a gift that the lady was interested in and wanted. (It kicked her butt a week in, and they showed she got a bit tired or sore, but she stuck with it anyway because it's what she wanted.) We can gather by the woman's reactions that the husband knew she was interested in exercise and being more active and that's why he gifted it to her. There was nothing sexist about the commercial at all, and anyone who thinks it is sexist is a complete moron.

True because men are held to different standards than women. No one bats an eye if a thin woman is with an overweight man. (I'm not against the commercial, for the record) but it's not entirely the same thing. Ignoring social context is being intellectually dishonest with your argument. Cardio makes people thinner. Men are not expected to be thin, they are expected to be muscular. An equivalent thing would be getting your man a Bowflex and taping a picture of Chris Hemsworth shirtless on the front lol.

Exercise doesn't have to mean losing weight or becoming more attractive. Maybe your supposed to assume the wife, who obviously didn't need to lose weight, was going through a hard time, and her husband, being an attentive caring partner, gave her a healthy outlet, in which she could set and reach a goal(s). And who isn't nervous( the emotion the actress was trying to express) when they are going do something new, different, something that you think will change your life? Perspective and logic go a long ways when dealing with the real world.
