She turned down offers of support-the Queen asked Sophie to advise her, and offered her ladies-in-waiting, and even her own senior equerry, but MM said she didn't need help, because she had Harry. She'd no intention of ever following protocol, or showing respect, or dressing appropriately for events. She did it her way, no matter how inappropriate, selfish or disrespectful that was.

And a deep neckline and the usual messy hair. Note too, everybody else is wrapped up, April UK so probably pretty chilly. As for Harry mumbling because he's looking down and reading, to be fair, if he raised his eyes from his script for a nanosecond he'd never remember what was on the page. Had to leave early because nobody let Meg have the microphone, Harry probably heard about that when they got out. They both look bored to tears, or hungover.

But I'm unable to resist to not add my 2 cents.🤣 I can't believe it when I see young people wearing very short dresses, shorts, etc to a funeral; but she's more than old enough to know what's appropriate. No low cut top, no bare shoulders, no bed head [try to run a brush through hair.]🤨 The dress was nice, but more for an evening event; but definitely inappropriate with the low cut & bare arms. [All your money & so-called fashion sense, yet no wrap available??] As usual, since it wasn't about them, they were more than disinterested. 🤨

Not only were they late, M looked a mess with her scraggily hair tendrils and poor dress sense with her bare shoulders which she WOULD have been advised against wearing...always about MEEEEEGAIN! His mother Doreen Lawrence was made a Baroness for her campaigning against racism. In 2005 the law was changed to allow his accused murderers to be retried. It changed the face of the law. Seeing people reading speeches makes my blood boil. Is it too much to ask that you read it through a couple of times before the event? Having notes is one thing, but to read a speech in a flat monotone, without once looking up at your audience is actually worse than not being there.

So much better to have said my Father was sadly unable to be here with you today but I am proud to have been asked to represent the RF and then say what was asked with feeling but there is literally no feelings here he just reads the paper then leaves it is cold harsh and totally distant why bother if you don't feel the occasion ? The Lawrence family are really courageous and graceful they deserved a lot better from Harry on this special day of remembrance for their beautiful son.

I may be wrong, but Stephen was an architectural student. He may have been studying engineering at that time as part of his course, but I remember his parents saying he was going to be an architect. Don't know how long at university it takes in America to study architecture, but its a 7 year course here in UK. I used to work at an English university. But, as I retired a few decades ago, things may have changed. What I'm getting at though is what a loss this young man was. Brutally murdered by thicko thugs. The Hazbeens could have shown some respect at his memorial service. Why are they so self unaware? Why can't they ever read the room? Must be because Stephen wasn't a glamorous celebrity, but just a decent, ordinary young man, with a brain the size of a planet (to steal a quote from Douglas Adams). So, why would they be interested in him?

When the videos these jokers had made - of themselves discussing that they "Want to K▪︎ll random" - "BP"🥺💜 - & Filmed themselves with machetes!🙈💜 Pretending to do so! - Were finally Shown on National TV News After the Trial - People here were Horrified!❗️ but unfortunately there was very little evidence - virtually No Evidence Anywhere! (& bc they'd "chosen somebody So Randomly!") It was unbelievable to ppl in the UK🇬🇧💜(& then it turned out that one of the thugs - his Father was in Organised Crime - & had a bent copper on the Payroll) & that person had Destroyed the one piece of real information the Police had been given. Just made it disappear! The other Police had never seen it & he got rid of it!) Ergo Tlhose M▪︎rd▪︎r▪︎es got away with it then - during the first Trial (& Everybody in the UK was Furious - ppl from All Walks of Life poured onto the Streets & many went down to the Courts & yelled & threw things at these jokers as they left the Court (& there was almost a ri¤t. (Several of the Policemen Trying to Prosecute these M▪︎rd▪︎rers were very upset though - Everybody was - but those Police Officers Promised Mr & Mrs Laurence then - that they would get these men For this Crime, No matter what - that they'd keep going until it was done & these M▪︎rd▪︎rers were in Prison For Life - & Eventually they got the two that did the actual K▪︎ll▪︎ng. (& the other two are dead.) This kind of R▪︎c▪︎st "M▪︎rd▪︎r!" hadn't been seen in the UK for Years (& it was VERY RARE Here altogether - as was this kind of dog whistle R▪︎C▪︎SM - outside of South London & Rare Anywhere in the UK even in the 1970s & early 1980s - ppl here Hate R▪︎c▪︎sm💜💜 - & so ppl couldn't believe that this decent, hardworking Christian young man - From a decent hardworking Christian Family💜💜 - a British Jamaican Family🇬🇧💜🇯🇲💜 - could have been att¤cked & even K▪︎ll▪︎d - like that! & K▪︎ll▪︎d purely bc of his skn tne!! People were Horrified the Shockwaves up & down the Country were huge. (& Nobody forgets.) There are Stephen Laurence Memorials & there are young people's organisation's Named after him Country-wide & his name is always mentioned each year - but I'm not overstating it when I say; People Could Not Believe such a thing could happen here (at the time) in 1992! We all fought for Nelson Mandela to be released (& he just had been & had come to the UK & Toured everywhere & given a Hero'd Welcome; Jamaican ppl are & wrre even then a huge part of English Communities - This isn't America-such things don't happen here & they didn't Even in 1992. (& have Never Happened since!) but ofc -at the time in the Met Police SOME Officers still had certain "Attitudes" About Crimes that the rest of the Country would never entertain - & once that dodgy Copper got rid of some of the Evidence it was slim pickings on the Evidence Front - bc they'd never even met Stephen; it was just the worst kind of Random K▪︎lling (As said though - the main k▪︎ller; his Father was part of an Organised Crime Syndicate - as did exist in the 1980s/90s (& he was able to make evidence disappear🙈💜 - eventually that came to light though (& the bent copper was Found Out & Prosecuted was put in Prison); as the Other Officers kept on the Case until they got those M¤nst▪︎rs.)🙏💜🇬🇧💜

Why was he not wearing a smaller microphone on his suit so he would of at least been heard?! Wow, even his assistant people can’t be bothered. If I had to guess, I’d say the lip thing is insecurity. I find it so weird that if he’s that uncomfortable in the public eye; why marry an actress? Princess Zara would have done a much better job in my opinion. Leaving a funeral early is the upmost of disrespect! It’s tasteless. You wouldn’t do it with your own family, so if your speaking at someone else’s, then don’t make the family feel even worse by doing this. It shows you couldn’t be asked to be there in the first place.

They didn't arrive 'late' and leave 'early'. This must have been when they were still working members of the Royal Family, therefore they are the last to arrive, and first to leave; it's just protocol. Incidentally Meghan was sat next to the (then) Prime Minister, Teresa May, and it she who is walking behind them on the way out. Protocol.

I think it might have been protocol for them to be last in, first out. Note the Prime Minister leaves just behind them. But because of their sloppiness it does not give the weighty, honourable impression it is designed to. You’d never think racism was going to be their thing later, would you…? I would put a laughing emoji but it is too serious occasion to joke about.

Good gracious me - What is she wearing??🙈💜 It is a Memorial Service! (You cannot turn up like that! Didn't H explain that to her!) This is a Very Important for the Entire Country; Memorial Service. (& think of his poor (lovely) Family! How dare she show up like that!) My gosh I didn't see her at the time; I remember news of the Service & footage of the Service (but she & H must have already left I think.) Unbelievable. (This just takes the biscuit it really does.) Love Always to Mr & Mrs Lawrence💜💜 + their lovely Family (& thoughts always of their beautiful, decent hard-working Christian Son💜💜 - who didn't deserve any of what happened) An absolutely horrific Crime - & of the kind that just doesn't & didn't happen here.) We Remember him every Year & his Name Lives on in all the Memorials & in particular the many Young Peoples Organisation's that bear his Name (& Try to do some kind of good - in that Name) 🙏💜🇬🇧💜

My father's very sorry 'not to be able to make it'? Make what? A rave? 'Not able to be with you here today'. They've gone, and THANK GOODNESS he IS the Spare.
