I still think it's incredible that he can sing in English but doesn't understand it. He speaks Brazilian Portuguese and many of his best songs are in his native language, all of which can be found on his KZfaq channel.

In my point of view, brazilian music (and maybe that's actually something global) is more about business management than vocal talent. I don't like to that kind of comparison but it is... erm... kinda true. There are much less talented artists in Brazil that are much more famous than Gabriel due to their way to manage their career

If you want to be even more impressed with this guy, Frank... listen to his version of Emotions by Mariah Carey. Another level . And I think he did the song much later, because you can hear an improvement with his pronunciations. Well worth you doing another reaction video of it. Another gem for you to check out if you have time., which is Johnny Mathis sustaining a single note for 1 minute and 28 seconds. The video of it is on KZfaq if you want to watch him do it. Gabriel has signed with “Maximus” record company in Brasil; which, appears to be Modern-Contemporary Christian music. Gabriel has released the video of his first single with a full band with electric guitars, drummer, and four backup singers on a helicopter pad atop a high rise building in São Paulo Brasil. The Christian Music Industry is quite large and popular in Brasil. I think Gabriel is searching for more avenues in the music industry.

I learn English with a Spokenglish school, and Felipe’s method is from phonemes and phonologics phenomema . It’s great because you can speak and listen very well. Some voice teachers uses this method in order to train singers in differents languages

I agree, he can improve his pronunciations, but considering he doesn’t speak English ( but he is studying it), and it is not his native language, he does amazingly well. I also agree with you when you commented on why he is not doing his own stuff. Why is he not already signed with a record label??? I’m astonished. He’s appeared on televised Brazilian singing competitions... I guarantee if he appeared on America’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell would offer him a contract. No doubt. Must be all about opportunity or lack thereof.

And I just want to say that Brazil is so lucky and so deserving to have such an incredible talent. You just don’t come across a voice like this very often. He is truly incredible. If he could come to the US and audition for America’s Got Talent, I’m 100% sure that Simon Cowell would snap him up in a heartbeat and offer him a contract. No doubt.

Frank, the market, the music industry in Brazil, rather, it's something you wouldn't really like to know. The more I go around the internet, the more I discover things that are not very pleasant and it's not just related to the artists' managers, no. But if we pass a sieve, we find serious producers and agents, yes. But there is the bubble. There are a lot of good and talented singers who deserved a space, a support, but anyway, maybe digital media is here for that. To be a showcase for those who can't break the bubble.
