i saw a theory on twitter about Nitara that made a lot of sense to me. basically, Megan was under the impression that she was supposed to just deliver Jennifer Check. her acting isn't actually bad but stylized to the likes of Jennifer's Body which was very intentionally a campy comedy. campy comedy does not work with Nitara's actual design and lore in MK1 so in turn, it just sounds like awful delivery. I think it's sad the amount of hate that Megan got for it when realistically, it's the mismatch of direction from NRS. having a line about "Jennifer's body" with Kung Lao kinda cements this theory for me too.

The Scorpion’s wife kameo is actually true because her face model deleted her IG post that revealed this. Probably an accidental post that got deleted due to an NDA.

All endings in MK1 are actually canon. I'm not going to spoil too much, but intros do give away answers on the endings for many characters. I do recommend trying to get all endings to get the full MK1 lore

Ashrah's ending was pure gold. Beautifully acted, animated, and wholesome, Too Perfect. My Empress and Emperor once again fight side by side as husband and wife. As for Tanya, I wish she did cover up Jerrod's murder or something to that effect. I mean they could still make her sympathetic but have her be a bit more deceitful. Out of everyone, I think this new version of Tanya is way too far from what she should be in terms of her lore, personality, appearance, and gameplay.

I hate most of these endings. And the worst part? These are most likely canon which is what I’ve wanted for such a long time instead of the dumb what if scenarios. Why is the writing so bad?! I feel like this game was specifically made to troll me sometimes. I’m not looking for Shakespeare but golly! At least try?

Fucking AGREED. Lmao all they did for Mileena was give her Kitana’s backstory and just turn her into…a less interesting Kitana. Fuse Sindel into Ermac? Fuck Sindel as a character I guess. No one important was behind Jerrod’s murder? Nope, just a bunch of NPCs that were the reason he was killed. Like, sweet lord I get it’s a fighting game but the writing is fucking horrendous lol

@@ryan94534 not to mention the garbage they pull with some of the characters like Obama being some mindless beast now. Hanzo is now a child? What? How does that even work? And how creepy is it that the boy Harumi is ostensibly raising is also her lover in other timelines? Yea thats one NRS didn’t think through with this garbage dlc comics elseworlds slop that they keep pushing MK to be. Ermac frees Quan Chi because….plot??? I don’t understand why they even bother anymore. I think MK would be better off if they just stopped making stories because my goodness are they bad at it. M1K is arguably the worst it’s been. It’s on par with fan fiction but that may be an insult to fan fiction because some are better than this
