As for the retirement income needed to retire at 35, 45, 55, it goes up and then down because if you retire at 35 and 45, you have more years to live before the average life span of 80 years. As you get older, you are closer to that age, and have fewer years to need money to support your retirement, even with inflation. You are basically living off the interest on the savings and not spending down the principal too quickly.

The reason Scandinavian countries consume the most coffee probably has less to do with the temperature (though I'm sure that plays a factor too) and more to do with the fact that they don't get sunlight for a couple months of the year due to just how far north they are. That's bound to throw off biological clocks and circadian rhythms so coffee is probably a necessity just to make it through the day since there's no daylight outside.

I would argue the US Is mixed when it comes to metric too. As a nurse I use the metric system almost exclusively and so does other major fields. Even home liquid medication is measured in metric. We all also grow up knowing how long a meter is because a meter stick (like rulers) were in every class and most of our measuring devices are in imperial and metric. Our tools can be metric or imperial. Both are also listed on all food packaging. It's every where really.

The first map is misleading because in many parts of the US you are required to learn both Imperial and metric systems and Cars build for the US have both MPH and KPH on the speedometer. Also The US military uses metric and so do all public marathons and stuff like that. Like a 5k run for example. So many in the US know both.

Whats really cool about the cartoon map 16:24 is it's German so from the German perspective. I can't tell the exact year but either during or immediately after WWI. I'd say after because of what the map depicts. So you haveh humanized Germans compared to a lot of the map. You have Germany holding off Russia with a bayonet. Besided WWI happening at around this time, Russian and jewish immigration/refugees increased leading up to WWII. (Explains the slightly antisemitic Russian character).
