I suggest you to watch “Yahşi Batı”. I think that is the best movie Cem Yılmaz ever made and American humor is a part of the film so you can understand it weigh easier than any other turkish movies.

Gora is legendary. The firts movie of the serie. Original and a revolutionary. Arog is great, fun and joyful but Gora is different. High majority of people would say Gora is better aswell. It’s original and all of the serie is timeless. It’s been 16 years since Gora was released and I’m still watching and laughing.

the joke in the snake scene is based on a Turkish proverb "Not even the snake touches the one who's drinking water" that is why he is saying "If I find the water, don't sting me while I'm drinking it"

3:17 "Crab dance" one of the famous goal celebration on Turkish Super League on that term, promoted by Deivid de Souza of Fenerbahçe I couldn't see on the video, but there was a "Carlos" joke in the film. Kaaya was shouting "Bring Carlos" and they bring a insane man in a cage, Kaaya was giving the ball and he starts to bouncing it an gets calm. Then Kaaya says: "He did not see the bol for six monts, so he got crazy". It was that: Roberto Carlos, worldwide famous footbal player was in Fenerbahçe on that term, but he was injuried for six months :))))

Actually as you said these movies are long in terms of duration, but there are many little details which are related to his stand up shows. You must be native speaker to recognize the details. Therefore, Cem Yilmaz's movies keep audiences not bored in spite of its long durations.

We grew up watching Cem Yılmaz movies and for us, he is the most loved comedian off aLL time. Than again you're right, Cem Yılmaz with subtitles not quite that good 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, love your work keep it up 👍🤞 Another humble opinion; you should consider adding your comments Turkish subtitles. You can reach far more people with that way 🙌

You don't need to be concerned of being under pressure or what not! It's completely alright that you don't react as much as what you think to be- I mean granted that Cem Yılmaz's jokes are mostly based on Turkish norms and culture- it's perfectly understandable that you don't get well, at least a half of them. Keep up the good work, though! You may check "Yahşi Batı" however, and I do assume that you will like it more, given that the movie is a parody of the Wild West era America with Ottoman and Indians touch there and there. Much love from Turkey, you're doing great!

Arif V 216 is all about Turkey's history like old movies, old actors. It's not going to be joyful for you and it could be a time waste. I recommend 'Yahşi Batı' though. It's a western-comedy movie, also Cem Yılmaz movie like G.O.R.A and A.R.O.G

If you can find one day one of his comedy shows' translations it is the best of best for fun trust me :) As a person who traveled a lot of country and watch many comedy shows, Cem Yilmaz comedy show is another level but as i mentioned at another commend his movies like he is doing for the child inside of him :)

bro cem yılmaz has a special humour for turkish people(he has a lot of joke about turkish culture and history) and its normal to you don't understand of even %60. So don't feel pressure, no one can't judge you. You can try Yahşi Batı(Cem Yılmaz movie again) but its has so much ironi and joke about american and turkish history and culture. You hit the nail on the head, most people I know prefer GORA over AROG and the latter movie defintiely seems to be intended for younger audiences, less swearing and less adult humor etc. That being said, GORA was somewhat criticized in its time for using too many curse words for the sake of being funny. That criticism may have caused Cem Yılmaz to shoot his later movies with less cursing and adult humor involved, just so he could prove he's still funny without them. By the way did you know both Arif and Commander Logar is played by Cem Yılmaz? I must've watched both movies at least 3 times each and never noticed until my girlfriend told me 😂 I'm dumb I know

You are right. Definitely GORA is a better movie. And also it is so rare when sequel is better than the first movie isn't it?. The Godfather 2 may be equally great or better. It is the sole example that I can remember. There are not many examples I guess. Anyway, GORA was an instant classic among Turkish comedy movies. :) Great content by the way. Thanks! :)

I recommend the Börü series.After a 6-episode series, there is a 2-hour movie, you can watch it one by one, I'm sure you will like it. Turkish police tell their experiences of special operations from the same producer as Dağ 2 “series episodes 50 min”

It sounds really comfortable and not annoying at all. Even when I saw the first Turkish film, the language sounded natural to my ears. Unlike German, French or Spanish movies.

I love your videos you are not artificial you dont just pretend like you loved all the movies. You have a lot of movie recommendations I know but if you have time can you watch these two movie "Kelebeğin Rüyası" and "Ölümlü Dünya" first one is about poet brothers and other one is a comedy.

you should definitely watch "Ölümlü Dünya". it's sweet like "Aile Arasında". Cem Yılmaz is the best standup comedian in Turkey, He usually uses jokes which unique to us. so, his movies are mostly for Turkish People
