The thing with Clara is that she has a counter, whenever she gets attacked, Svarog will counter dealing AoE damage, and when you use her Ultimate this effect gets enhanced and it applies to allies as well with two possible procs, so if they get attacked Svarog will counter as well, so you usually want to pair Clara with characters like March (her skill has a soft taunt) to abuse this mechanic

Keep in mind that often voicelines from beta are getting changed before the game is officially out so if you dont like certain voiceacting they could have been changed :D Sometimes it happens even after game is out for few months (barbruh from Genshin is an example. i think her voice got changed in 1.3) Whats more some of the characters you seen are not playable as for now: Blade, Jing Yuan, Kafka, Silver Wolf as well as the Lichuan (not sure if i said his name correctly)

The thing with speed buffs is that I think most people don't play with the turn bar that has numbers to measure it, the default is the bar with no numbers. I switched to the numeric bar precisely because it was difficult to see how good Welt's debuffs were. Now I see exactly how fast (or slow) each character goes up on the bar each turn and that his debuffs of spd down and imprisonment are actually super worthy

Clara has a slight taunt effect on her ultimate and fight entrance. Her ultimate also boosts Svarog's counterattack which is not displayed in this video.

Seems the mechanic for Speed is something like FFX - A delay will be added to the character after their action, in inverse proportion to the speed. So higher Speed means lower delay, and the turn comes again faster. I have seen Seele move twice naturally(not with her ability) before the enemy even got one turn

while speed boost effect is hard to see, there is 2 major advantages. One of it the obvious one is the turn bar on the left side of the screen while in battle. it can speed up character's turn so they can do their action first. The other one is it can activate the relics, the orb and the rope, extra effect. Almost half of the relics need 120 speed to activate its extra effect to maximize the effectiveness.

clara is really nice once u figure out how she works, she's essentially a dps with a tank spec. Her ultimate gives her damage reduction and taunts enemies to attack her, also, during its duration any counterattacks svarog does happen whenever anyone on the team is attacked and they deal AoE damage as well. I got her on my first 10 pull, though i was not that happy with it she's fun! What makes the characters interesting is the Traces system, its like the skill system in Genshin exept deeper, for example, u can upgrade Natasha's heal skill to remove debuffs once she gets to lvl 40 and u increased the world level. Keep in mind that each character has a Path on top of their element, wich tells what role they have in combat, for example, Pella and Welt on The Nihility, meaning they are debuffers while Asta and Bronya are The Harmony, being buffers. I got all the 4 stars in the game exept Sampo. Clara, Himiko and Seele are my 5 stars. Btw, not all characters are out that are shown in this video. All the japanese voiced characters are not in the game(yet) with the exeption of Arlan who got demoted to 4 star as well. And yes, go play it! maybe stop playing another live service one to balance it out, i did the same, quitting Genshin(for now).

For Clara, her team is pretty restrictive but it's really effective. Clara/March7/healer/DPS Clara will become a tank with March, countering everything and hit like like a truck while being immortal with a healer. While the dps will be at peace killing things.

You will only appreciate a character once you have used them. I was also one of the people that didn't like Gepard but he was actually my first 5 star so I couldn't just bench him. And now I've became so dependent on him that I actually benched Natasha xD

I missed your Arknights stream because I got so absorbed in Star Rail, haha! I really wasn't expecting it to grab me like this since I don't usually play this style of game, but it's been pulling me away from Genshin. The writing is so good with lots of humor to be found interacting with everything. The main character is honestly a mood and a half, I love Stelle. Didn't get so lucky with my rolls so far, so are the woes of rng, but then again my AK and Genshin starts weren't stellar either. I could see myself sticking with the game for a long time.

Been playing a couple days. I'm a little worried how heavily the elements affect battles. So far it feels like its best to have a team with assorted elements for overall gameplay. I pulled Natasha and Himeko, but since their element both overlap with MC it makes me hesitant in putting them in the party. Kinda wish the parties were 4 characters instead of 3 so there could be more leeway in party-building. Other than that its been really fun! ☺

Asta's ult is a massive speed boost but its percentage based, so until level 20ish her ult does next to nothing, after that point it all but guarantees 2 extra turns for your entire team

I am glad I pulled Bailu and Seele. Only saving now up for Himeko ( is a must) and Bronya for Crit. In regards to Gepard, he is a stall char. And that is OK, it is after all Turn based RPG where all chars have a role. Gepard is tank staller. I read his skills and build, no idea why peeps do not like him I know some friends that said Gepard hard carried in Sim universe on later worlds, so just a difference in playstyles and reached content I suppose.

yeah supports are more important than dps in turn based games lol and as a honkai fan, I'm enjoying the game so much! I'm glad I got Bailu and Seele now I just need the rest of og Honkai characters (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

I got Bronya from the beginner banner. I like her design and abilities, but I have a stable team and idk where to put her, for now at least. I also lost my 50/50 with Seele, that's how I got Gepard. I really like him, and he is very useful (and cute). Besides, it means that I will have guaranteed Jing Yuan hehe. I would like to have Welt, Kafka and Blade maybe too. And if you saw release trailer, there was a guy with robotic arm, he's kinda fine.. (￣▽￣*)ゞ I hope he will be a 4*, but who knows.

Tingyun is the best 4* support (the one after himeko). Actually the best support due to 2 dmg buffs and giving ult charge to your other characters. She's also Bae. Too cute too hot. As for me I'm not really a fan of himeko, but I want gepard he's cool and Clara. Clara ult is good for teams cause dmg reduction and the taunt it didn't show you. My favorite characters and the ones I want are Clara, Gepard, Trailblazer female, Tingyun, Silver wolf, and Seele. I don't really care bout the rest tbh. Speed boost is for taking turns more often then enemies. Pela is also amazing. Not all these characters are out these include every one from Kafka onwards. We have arlan onwards though. The female trailblazer and male do have different animations. Also you mightve missed 10 free rolls not sure if it's still active.

I thought there were like 15 chars, and I'm already playing. I like the little differences between the male and female versions of the protagonist; pity they weren't shown here

Me summoning every strength to not pull untill I see Sakura, Kiana and Fu Hua. I really want Seele, Silver Wolf and Kafka, but I have to prioritize my wives. Tho some characters from the light cone do be saucy... In terms of the standard banner tho, it's a tough choice between Bronya, Welt and Himeko... Hopefully the gacha gods will help me out by the time I reach 300 pulls.

I don't why they hate gepard but he is the single handedly most tankiest character in the game. If you got bad rng when upgrading your relic and it gave you def, he is the go to. My gepard literally gave my team 3k shields, even bosses has hard time breaking his shield

The only thing I don't like about this game is that it feels like a genshin sequel. Bows, swords, daggers and almost no firearm mechanics. And the characters look like they're from one of Li Yue's provinces or Monstadt.

I generally think the english voice acting is pretty good. Except for a few characters which sound so incredibly bad that it kinda spoils the bunch. Luckily enough it´s none of the Star Rail crew from which we will probably hear the most lines. The worst offender is Kafka. Her acting is so bad but I think it´s a fault of bad direction and not of the performer. She is supposed to be this Femme Fatale who speaks super seductively but the actress lays it on so thick that every sentence just sounds forced with completely unnatural pronounciation and weird pauses between the words. The other one that sounds a little off to me is Clara. She sounds as if she had the age of Hook but is clearly older. But maybe that´s just me reading the character different than the localization team. Silver Wolf also sounded a little weird but I haven´t heard enough of her to tell if that was just because it´s so different from japanese Bronya or bad voice work so I will hold my judgement on that for later. Whom I really like and that is 100% me being biased is Pela. Her VA plays Altina from the Trails of Cold Steel series.
