Hello again Renae :-) I'm almost as blown away by your comments as I am by Angelina... Just BEAUTIFUL NOW..listen. I always make this recommendation after someone has reacted to this very video. (Or the other way around.) The reason being that it perfectly demonstrates the vocal range she possesses. I believe she was 13 years and 2 months old when she found out that the time was right to take on Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing". Personally I believe this was her answer to up until then a few "evil" tongues claiming that she couldn't belt, given the nature of the songs she normally sings and her predominantly low register. BOY! did she prove them wrong :-) At 13, with lungs FAR from being fully developed, this performance is nothing short of breath-taking tbh. Please react to it? Her chameleon ability to sound like any artist has her paying respect to the gospel version that Elvis was known for. Just the fact that she is a female doing this is remarkable, but when you add in her young age it becomes mind boggling. there has never been a singer who can display versatility excellence in the numerous genres this girl can. At heart, she's a jazz singer who loves to incorporate nuance and inflections by Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse but this goes far and beyond what I would have thought possible prior to her coming onto the scene.
