Just going to say this for those who don’t know there is no “truest source” when it talking about eminence. All eminence media is different the original Wn has a wildly different story and characters, the Ln is less crazy than the Wn, the manga is a complete comedy, the anime is a balance between action and comedy, and the games are lore heavy. You can literally have 5 different experiences with eminence because the author doesn’t want his story to remain static. The anime, Ln, and manga shouldn’t really be compared because the anime uses fights for different purposes than the manga and takes a show don’t tell approach to internal thoughts that the LN cannot. None of the versions can be considered better just different and that’s what the author wants. The author loves the anime adaptation because it truly brings life to his creation that’s rare in the isekai genre to get a anime that’s great.

Cid was trying to not use his sword cuz he’s acting as John Smith. Smith doesn’t use swords. Alpha pushed Cid so much he was forced to use a sword. There’s no secret weapon that john smith has or something like that. If Alpha stayed in her mist from, she could have been blown way in all directions. Hard to put yourself together when scattered all around.

The sword cid use to fight back alpha was slime sword that he use as shadow, the design in the manga is pretty cool ngl

Cid using his hand is basically the director remembering Cid is a Martial artist not a Swordmaster. HIM using his hand is basically HIM going full power and Cid was using Cid Voice (the voice he use with Aurora,Delta,Alexia and getting frustrated with Iris ruining his battle with Beatrix)

If cid use the sword like in the manga and LN against misform alpha, i think he Will destroy the train as well, that's why they changed it the fight sequence in anime version

Before, Novel readers dumping on Manga like it is a blasphemy but now they had new target and that is the Anime. 😂 As a manga reader yeah I like the manga cuz it had a lot of comedy that gave it's own personality that differentiate from the Novel. 👌
