Best concert ever. I have watched this concert so many times I lost count. She is fantastic. Try "Winter Bird" or "Soft universe" here at Nidarsdomen

Hi Samantha... YES, please carry on with this concert... but you know, there is also another hauntingly beautiful version of "It happened quite", Live at the Current, in a stripped down version... just for guitar and two vocals... and these two vocals together will leave you as speechless and mesmerized like this Nidarosdomen version... this is, by the way, the very first time she performeed this special song live before an audience... and it has become one of my all time favourite Aurora songs. Next from the Nidarsodomen concert ? Well, you have some more to choose from. Maybe you should do "Little boy in the grass"... an upbeat song, but with a very (and I mean VERRRRRRRRRRRRY) tragic story behind it. On July 22, 2011, there was the so called Utoya massacre in Norway, where a guy called Breivik shot 77 people randomly - mostly children and young adults - out of Xenophobia. And this little boy in the grass, that Aurora is talking about in this song, and whom she was close friends with, was one of those victims. Please take a look at the lyrics. With this background knowledge, they become even deeper and more meaningful than you might have thought. Best wishes from Germany : Gerry

Great song and performance. I like even more version from the Current (acoustic, strip down). Also very nice reaction.

They are both awesome. I love the instruments in this one and that it is just Aurora singing, but I love the other one because it is stripped down and the harmonies =)

This performans in Nidarosdomen is so great with many layers of instruments, quire and the acustic in this buiding. Think the concert a forrest in the end of NRK`s HAIK documentary is realy great to. Take a look at the entire documentary to learn more about Aurora, or just the concert.

Very nice reaction again 🤩 I absolutely agree with everything you say 👍 She was about 18 when she wrote “Murder Song”, but she was 11 when she wrote “Runaway”, and 9 years old when she wrote “Lucky” and “I went too far” This song is very sad It’s possibly about rape, but most certainly murder. And in the end she comes back to haunt him, just like in “Churchyard”💔 It Happened Quiet’ and ‘Churchyard’ - which is about someone that is stronger… a grown up with a child, a teacher with a student - someone that takes advantage of their power and uses it in the wrong way. It’s inspired by domestic violence”AURORA Yes, please continue this journey in Nidarosdomen 🙏 ✌️🌍❤️

Beautiful reaction! Like others have also recommended; you should listen to soft universe from the same concert. And also Little blog in the grass and under stars as well. Actually everything from this concert is worth a watch.

Not "Murder Song" aged 10 (it was written in 2015 when she was 18/19, which is still amazing), "Runaway" aged 11. Time to look at the HAIK concert to hear some songs with a different vibe and see Aurora in her element in the forest, smiling and dancing.

@@SamanthaLisa Aurora has an particular way with words. Her song writing is amazing on a number of levels. Firstly because she is writing in her second language. Secondly because of the topics she chooses to write on. Thirdly because of the wisdom that comes from one so young. Her lyrics, voice, creativity, performance style and personality have a profound impact on people. However, a few days ago I saw a reaction from a husband and wife team to Aurora's "Runaway" from the Nobel Peace Prize concert and they didn't like Aurora's voice, the song or her gestures. As for reasons why, the best the woman could come up with was "I could like this song but I don't". What sort of comment is that? Fortunately these two are in a very, very small minority.

The feature of the times is clout, fame, and most of all fortune. That's what the world says we should all be chasing. But I don't see Aurora as a 'Brand', or commercial property, and based on her actions/statements I don't think she does either. The answer to why many of us had never even heard of this musical angel, is because she is really difficult to package and label for distribution. She changes style/genre/direction on a dime, and says whatever she likes. That freaks out the business crowd.

I love your Aurora reactions! You’re correct in wondering why she isn’t more well-known, she is such a gifted songwriter and performer. Llstening to her music and reading her lyrics she strikes me as possibly this generation’s Leonard Cohen, or Joni Mitchell, in her creativity and almost savant musical abilities. She refuses to play the music industry promotion games, so that might be why she’s only well known by her fan base, but those fans are loyal and strong! By all means continue with Nidarosdomen. I’d maybe react to “Soft Universe” if you want to see her perform a more up-beat song. Also, her concert recorded at KEXP in Iceland was very upbeat!

Now that you've seen this version, do yourself a favor and see what Aurora can really do. Watch "It Happened Quiet" Live at The Current. Look, 70 is in my rear view mirror, so I've seen and played a lot of music. But, that Current performance is the best thing I've ever seen. Listen closely to her voice, note her expression, pay close attention to her micro-movements....the combination is devastating. The interplay between Aurora and Silja is something to behold. Quite simply, a perfect performance.

isn't she so special....? she has the amazing ability to connect to everyone's emotional core....this song is dark - about a complicated love affair that may be "dead"......."are your dreams as dead as they seem? I bleed in your bed, turn it red like the ground outside your window"............"love is wild" ( and not in a good way )

Hello Samantha, Nidarosdomen was an extraordinary concert. I find it interesting that the lyrics are so sad (violence in relationships leading to death) and on the other hand the music is very beautiful and doesn't give me that sad feeling. The music is more soothing. This contrast struck me in many of her sad songs. Does she want to spread hope? But there is another version of this song that she also sang live that is much more impressive. She is so in the song in the (Current) version that she uncontrollably shakes her body or head and takes 2-3 seconds to come back. You certainly haven't seen anything like this before. The harmonies: This perfection would not have been possible without her accompaniment and backing vocalist. Silja Sol is also an outstanding singer and musician. - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7tdgZl91uDIeYE.html - you just have to hear these great harmonies Listen to it in peace and enjoy it. Goosebumps are guaranteed here too. Also the Murder song from Nobel peace prize concert is better than from Nidarosdomen. But at Nidarrosdomen a wonderful ending has been added. You should check that out too. - Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) [Live at Nidarosdomen] - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mremmad1qtCUip8.html You can say in your next reaction to AURORA whether you like these other versions better or not. But AURORA also has love songs that are not sad. The songs are full of emotion and very romantic: - Exist For Love - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bb90ntV7xs-noqs.html - the video is Hollywood like😍😍😍 - Potion For Love - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/adqBorecntaVfWQ.html - live at the Bloodworks Live Studio 😍😍😍 Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

listening to Aurora sing puts you in a different world..nice reaction to something so different. and I guess it would get even more interesting if you react also to something that's totally 180 degrees to Aurora. and that's Diana Ankudinova's April 19, 2021 solo concert in Togliatti part 2, a song that starts at 14:30 and the next one starting at 18:47. what are these kids eating?

Though she isn't well known by name, she has been heard by hundreds of millions of people all over the world because of Disney's movie Frozen 2. Mostly she sings her own songs, but even when she does covers she makes them her own. Like her version of the Imagine Dragons song "Believer", so different from the original it makes it hard to choose which is better.
