The one bad thing about that show was the camera work. Babymetal did (I think) Painkiller for one of their own shows. While on tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was Su's birthday and they surprise her with a cake on stage. Babymetals reaction is priceless.

Moa can play some guitar, but she has said herself that she doesn’t practice as much as she should. Yui doesn’t play guitar, that I know of at least, she might’ve learned just this riff but it doesn’t look like she’s playing anything to me. Even if they were actually playing they would’ve been so low in the mix that you aren’t really gonna hear them. It’s mostly for show.

Great reaction. Its always fun watching Su just rocking out and enjoying herself, as she clearly was here. I think Yui and Moa spoke before this performance about being nervous about playing guitar live and how they were practising hard. Moa can play some guitar, Yui was a beginner I think, but they had a couple of the best guitar teachers to help them if they needed it in the shape of Mikio and Takayoshi and the basic riff for 'Breaking the Law' isn't the hardest to learn. So they may have been playing (Moa the more likely) and they may have been low in the mix. The camera work was atrocious - it completely missed Moa and Takayoshi (who was doing the guitar solo while the camera showed Mikio and Yui hitting a couple of chords) doing the rock star kneeling down and leaning back pose with their guitars - instigated by Moa of course.

Theres a clip of the interview to this show too, in which Rob calls them "Metal monster Ladies" - how cute!

Moametal can play the guitar but Yuimetal is a beginner and learn to play especially for the performance. The guitar that both Moametal and Yuimetal plays are ESP Custom made Mini Arrow which is specifically designed for Babymetal. This was perform at the APMA. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤟

They were really playing correctly, but they weren't coming up in the audio mix for the show. It's like they were accurately air guitaring, with real guitars :)

Awesome!! Fun performance, you can see that Su and the Kamis were having a blast. Moa can play a bit, but you can see that they were doing only some basic strums and riffs. They were live, you can actually hear them (very low) in the mix, but the Kamis still did the main guitar playing. You should check Su and the Kamis doing these Priest songs with Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on drums. Really fun and heartwarming.

MOA can play easy riff… probably YUI too🎸

They obviously didn't have much rehearsal time, but we do see is The Queen keying on Rob, she's adapting to him.

It was for entertainment or the volume was at .005 lol. It was all Mikio and Takayoshi. If you actually watched the video you could tell.

Moa plays basic rhythm guitar. Yui plays flute and piano, I think. Yui wasn't actually playing but Moa was.

Not a fan of their vocals, but that band is awesome. And as much as I like Judas Priest, these songs don't really show their chops.
