Stay Gold originally was released in June 2020. My entire family and I had contracted Covid during the unknown era. I was anxious worried feeling helpless and listening to Stay Gold kept my hope alive hoping that during the scary times. BTS kept some positivity in me to really get through those times. They just heal in so many ways more than they could ever know.

Jungkook was a songwriter and composer for film out💜 He’s incredibly talented! For me, all the songs he works on are the most beautiful and also my favs!! And his voice is just so amazing wow

BTS concerts are also emotional roller coaster. As an older fan, I had been a fan of BTS for a while but it never occurred to me to actually attend their concerts… until the Speak Yourself, Final in Seoul in 2019. I was lucky enough to get the floor seat, went all by myself, spent all day from morning to the end of the concert there, and I must say I had never experienced anything like it before. It was definitely a life changing experience for me even though I had been to many other artists’ concerts before. Since then, I try to go to ALL of their concerts if I can. They truly love performing and appreciate their fans, and it shows. To me, they are this generation’s best artists and performers.

I don't know why, but I really love all of BTS' Japanese MV's and Lives; they hit different somehow.

That's the thing I love about the vocal line, their voices are so distinct from one another but compliment each other so well. The same can be said abt the rapline actually, they have different rapping styles but they make the song dynamic and fresh. And when you put all them together, the song becomes immaculate.

i love their japanese songs!! jk’s talent in production just amazes me :)) also vminkook (the maknae line) do have one unit song, it’s a cover of ‘as i told you’ but all of the members perform in that performance. i hope that you can eventually watch their friendship videos because although vmin is super cute, i think it would be nice for you to know all the dynamics in the group!!

I think JK was one of the writers & composers for both Stay Gold & Film Out. He also wrote Your Eyes Tell - another of their gorgeous Japanese songs (& arguably one of the best live vocal performances they’ve ever done - the notes in that song & the entire vocal line hitting them is WOW). A BTS concert is definitely an emotional rollercoaster….it’s why I try to go as often as I can afford. ARMY and BTS feed on each other and it is just an amazing time. Fun fact, a lot of ARMY really thought Let Go was a disbandment song (some still really believe it but it’s also never been fully proven). That whole year was just us being on edge.

I always interpreted Stay Gold as a reverse reference to Robert Frost poem Nothing Gold Can Stay. The poem explains how everything gold is ephemeral ("but for an hour"), but BTS sings that you can try and stay "gold". That's my take in any case. I enjoy your reactions, thanks.

The Japanese songs are all so beautiful and, yes, most are very emotional. Jin generally carries the Japanese songs, for me, and Jimin's voice is also up there. They ALL sound amazing, of course, but there is just something about their vocals in ballads that pull at the heartstrings. Jin excels at conveying emotion with his voice.
