I'm not going to lie I'm usually a hype up song listener but it all changed when Chen released his album APRIL AND A FLOWER with this song as the title Track and that's when I realized I have a soft spot for sad ballad like this. This is one of the many reasons why this guy Chen is my bias in EXO, he made me appreciate what I didn't before and makes me teary everytime I listen to his songs and not alot of artists has the ability to do that 🤧🌸💯

Fun fact: Chen was singing live while filming the MV the whole time for every time they recorded, he said it's better that way to portray the feelings of this song

Chen is not only a great vocalist but he also is a lyricist as well. He wrote his song FLOWER and He also wrote Exo bside tracks - She's dreaming and Touch it. He also Helped co-write KOKOBOP (Korean version) with Chanyeol and baekhyun and PROMISE (Korean version) with Chanyeol and Lay.

He released his first solo album(April and a flower) in April 1 2019 when his closest and first Exo member (xiumin) was enlisting into the military and a year later in April 29 2020 he had his first daughter 🌸💯 and he literally got discharged from the military on April 26 2022 this year! Ps. Exo's group debut on April 8 2012 as well, so I believe it was all fate really 💛

All chen ballad songs are melodically beaitiful. He wrote some of the song. His 1st mini album are like a heartbreak songs that touch you emotionally His 2nd album are ballad love song and i really love all his songs

Chen first album "April and a flower" is full of sad but beautiful ballads. Is my number one favourite exo solo album so far. He wrote "Flower" for that album. But my favourite is "Love words"

Beautiful goodbye was co-written by another amazing artist called NIve and he said to this day this was his best and most famous song and Chen was the perfect person who delivered it beautifully.

I didn't ask to cry today damn it 😭😂 but Chen gets me every time. He is so amazing and beautiful he deserves all the love in the world. Also he actually sang the entire song live for hours during the mv filming cuz he wanted it to sound the most authentic as possible. Chennie knows how to deliver and knows how to pull those heart strings. 🧡🧡🧡 We are blessed to have him in EXO and just in general. Thank you for this reaction. Much love 🧡

Beautiful Goodbye is not supposed to be his 1st single. his company is suggesting a different single but Chen insisted that this should be his title track. this song definitely made an impact and solidify his status as one of the best vocalist in kpop. his solos are usually ballads and pop but if you want to his range, check out Watch Out, Years & Uprising

The first time I watched this, I did Portrait Live. I was concentrating so hard, and I cried so hard. (Even now with u watching the live). The way he sang this, and the freaking lyrics made me feel like he was breaking up with me. That powerful. So whenever this plays, I cry. It is indeed a beautiful goodbye. the 1st few times i've watched this, i always cry so bad. his 1st mini album April and a flower has more of a sad vibe but Chen's voice is so soothing that it's more healing to listen to. not sure of the significance of April. i just think he just debuted as a solo artist in April and it's usually where spring starts. he has a song Flower which he wrote where he describes life like how a flower withers in winter and slowly blossom in spring.

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. One of my favorite Chen mvs, ever. When it first came out, I was mesmerized, and the lyrics hit my heart, I couldn't stop crying. Then I couldn't watch it again for a while, because I always cried. You can hear pain in his voice, and I know it must be coming from his own past experience...his vocals are incredible. I have no words. I'm tearing up again watching this... 💙🌺

I think the album this song is in is really beautiful. All the songs in April and a flower is just so lovely I was practically obsessed with them (still kinda am, tbh). 🌸It’s in april bec april is when flowers bloom during spring which is like a beautiful season. So it’s basically asking their lover to stay with him at least until winter passes and spring comes so when they break up after april(after spring) ends, they could have at least a beautiful goodbye/break up as compared to winter when it’s cold and sad metaphorically. I dont like ballds much but i really liked this!
