Great review! Looking forward to more reactions for Dirty Loops. I would say stay with the current era for now and maybe do "Next to You" and "Rock You" next. Allow me to give a little historical perspective to the importance of this song as a DL fan for almost a decade. The band put out the amazing album Loopified in 2014 and toured with it even coming to the US for the first time. After that they were pretty much gone in less than a year and we missed them so much. We don't know if they had a falling out or were discouraged to continue somehow but we thought they were done for good. Then 5 years later they announce they have a new song and drop this out of nowhere and it was so great to see them having fun together and playing again and they were just crazier than ever. So happy they are back and look forward to seeing them tour over here in the US again.

Yea! Every day I look for new Dirty Loops reactions (which is how I found your channel on Breakdown) & if there are no new reactions, I listen to the ones I’ve already heard. So I actually said, “YEAH ADAM!” when this one came up in the search today. I appreciate that you acknowledged the joy with which they perform. I’ve come to expect their excellent musicianship of course, though I still watch & listen with astonishment as well, but their joy (& yours) is equally captivating. Excellent job, Adam.

Great reaction, Adam, and loved how you were genuinely blown away by these guys and their chops and musicality! You might have, by now, listened to all their other songs already :) but if, on the off chance, you hadn’t yet, I would love to see you react to Dirty Loops’ “Next to You”, their cover of “Thriller”, “Follow the Light” and “World on Fire”. It sounds like a long list, but I’m sure you would be blown away again by each and everyone of those tracks :) Cheers, and thanks again 👍🙏

Great reaction! You really are able to put into words exactly my feelings on this musical powerhouse. I discovered DL about a year ago and I never tire of listening to their music. Take three truly gifted musicians, who also appear to be great friends and literally able to "work sh** out", then sit back and listen to the magic that ensues.

I stumbled onto your first Loops reaction and absolutely loved it. Intelligent, well produced, smart commentary and a demonstrable love of the music. Those comments apply just as aptly to this reaction. Thank you. I've got to put my two licks in for "Next to You". It again is its own unique explosion of the loops abilities with a special attention to Jonah's pretty much god like vocal range. "Next to You" was the first Loop's song I had ever heard and it just blew me away. All the musicality, creativity and joy so apropos of Dirty Loops is here in abundance. I am subscribed so I'll keep my eyes tuned for notice of your next video. Got to check out your metal site too.

I enjoy your reactions so much that as my appreciation for Dirty Loops grows I find it enjoyable to re-hear a quality reaction like yours. I would love to hear you do a reaction on DL's "Next to You." It displays everybodies abilities in an epic almost "Bohemian Rhapsody" kind of way. Absolutely epic. Please share with us your take on this Loops classic.

Hey! I think you do great evaluations on the songs you listen to. You present your thoughts in an easy-to-understand way. Your reaction to Dirty Loop's "Work Shit Out" was as good as that of "Breakdown". As you yourself have read in comments from people, Dirty Loop's songs are very different from each other. Therefore, it would be fun to hear you make a reaction to their song "Next To You". It will be a third variation on style compared to the other two you heard. Keep up the good work and taake caroe of yourself out there. Sincerely! Håkan Svensson in Sweden

Regarding what you said at 9:48. Dirty Loops was in a hiatus after their first record. They couldn't agree on where to go creatively. Jonah was more into jazz/fusion, and Henrik and Aron leaned more towards pop. Henrik and Aron even put together a demo for Jonah to listen to. He did, and didn't like it. So the band fell apart for a while, and they did some separate stuff. Eventually they got it together, as we all can see and enjoy. 🙂 Just wanted to adjust the depiction of them as musically conjoined humans. There at least were frictions. (My source is my brother in law who's toured with Jonah, as a bassplayer, some two years ago, when the band was on a break.)

Sorry but this song isn't only a drum solo You totally missed the incredible harmony part with a huge piano solo which take this song to another level Then of course the drum solo is like a cherry on a cake
@AdamStraughan
@AdamStraughan 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t imply that the whole song is a drum solo, I just state how much more of a focus there is on drums in this song compared to the last that I reacted to. Whereas I may not specifically mention the piano as much, I do talk about them as incredible musicians working in harmony together, which I figured imply the bass and piano.
@SergeForte
@SergeForte 3 жыл бұрын
@@AdamStraughan Sorry but I insist : what is the difference between this group and the others? A drum solo ? Even with kicks in the middle? I here this since the seventies in jazz rock... No the difference is the harmony risk they take starting from pop to in a classic jazz area and this is what you missed sorry. I don't have a pb with your reaction but in my opinion I would need a deeper analysis...
@AdamStraughan
@AdamStraughan 3 жыл бұрын
@@SergeForte I think you’re misinterpreting my comment. I didn’t imply that I’m comparing them to other bands, I said in comparison to their last song that I reacted to. I talk heavily about their jazz sound in my previous video. Obviously you have a big passion for the band and their sound on a deep level, which I’m assuming you’ve listened to a lot. I am only hearing this for the first time here, I’m sure if I listened to it several times and then came back with a video about this song after several listens, I’m sure I’d be able to go into the level of detail that you highlight.
