That’s a nice and humble way of looking at it, but I wouldn’t say that’s true. Some of the greatest athletes of all time have no problem letting the world know they’re great. I’m not sure you can become a truly great player without feeling that way. Draymond just isn’t afraid to speak on it.

@@joshfewtrell7109 but that's where you're wrong because every player in that era "wasn't" dirty The "only" players back then that were known for being DIRTY were the Bad Boy Pistons and mainly: Bill Laimbeer & Dennis Rodman, if you really think about it...that didn't really start until Rick Mahorn got there, that's really when that really began: Rick Mahorn got to the Pistons in 85-86, the next year is when they started the war with Boston and became dirty bruising players HE was the one who really started that& outside of the Pistons, you had the Knicks who were always trying to use brute force but alot of that came from MJ destroying them year after year after year

D.Rod played in the big boy era, where he used to guard Mourning, Shaq, Malone, Ewing, Mutombo, Kemp and so on and so on, he can guard all the 5position and doesn't care how big and tall they are, and at some point he shut them down & with all the mind games he's playing with them, he already beat some of them even before half time

Especially seen how useless some of these coach have been who have had the best players and still find ways to lose games and get totally destroyed. 🤔I guess it is always a bad sign when you class the champions as the best 🐰the world champions🐰. This is definitely not the best of season and neither was the last despite the bubble tournament being great. They need to rethink this whole thing without putting the money first. Dennis Rodman is the best defender ever. He guarded point guards out of the perimeter like John Stockton and Gary Peyton and then when he got older and put on more muscle, he was in the paint guarding Hall of fame Centers like Hakeem, Shaq and David Robinson. He might also be the best rebounder ever as well but that's a different topic.

Not old enough to have seen Bill Russell and Chamberlain play. I am sure there is an argument for either of them. My top defenders of all time by position that I saw play. PF- Rodman, Duncan, Garnett SF-Pippen C- Dream ( Olajuwon) SG- Jordan, Dumars, Bryant PG- Glove (Payton), Ron Harper

I won't even go into better defensive centers all time. Among forwards off the top of my head Pippen, Rodman, Artest, Garnett, young Kawhi, all could be argued over Draymond defensively.

@@eternalboss1046 Draymond is as good as all of them except Kawhi in perimeter Defense. Great post defender, and better than all of them (except KG) as a rim protector. None of those guys were blocking almost 100 3-pointers a year while locking up elite PGs and then in the same game holding all time great interior centers to under 43%

That what seperates greats from goods, their mindset. Greats thinks they are the best at what they do. Shaq always thinks he is the best but when he retired, he realize that maybe Hakeem really was better than him. Even Barkley's game fell when he admitted that Jordan was the best basketball player. He can say that to himself but at the end of the day, no one judges themselves on being the greatest.

He's quarterbacks the defense. He tells his guys where to be, who to pick up, calls out the switches, where and how to help/ double, all while. playing his as usual great on ball defense. Nobody has the overall defensive impact that Draymond has had or does have.

He models his defense from the 2012-2013 Lebron. He is great. Just not all-time. Lebron was also better because he is and still is more athletic than Draymond.

He won DPOY. He's at least in the 20--30 range. I think folks have a hard time being ubiased with Dray because he has a big mouth and kicks players in the nuts, but he's actually a very very good defender.

@@gadd-00 He guarded all 5 positions in a soft league. He couldn't guard any center in the 90s. Rodman truly guarded all 5 positions from Gary Payton to Scottie Pippen to Shaq. Inside or outside. Dray cant guard top tier PGs or top tier Center's. Yea he can hold the average ones but don't act like he's locking down Kyrie and embiid types, definitely never clamped lbj.
