at training wheels she basically take care of him, she fix him and help him to trust again at people (take off the training wheels) and stuff and when he feels better he just leave her cauze he dosen't need her anymore:(

It's always so fun watching somebody experience Crybaby who actually *gets it!* A lot of what Melanie does seems to go over the heads of a lot of people, but you seem to understand her artistic choices right off the bat! Also something to note is why the videos aren't linear, and some are a bit more storytelling than others. It's because when Melanie first started out she was a very young artist, didn't have a lot of control, and didn't think expect her label to pay for a music video for every song. They started with Dollhouse, Pity Party and Carousel, and after the Melanie kept handing in video treatments and begging her label to make more videos, and started directing them herself and being very hands-on, until she'd made a video for every son and created a full visual album. Her second time around she went straight in with an entire script and wrote an entire film herself which they shot in Budapest. She wrote and co-produced the songs, wrote the script, costume designed, learned to dance and sought out her dream choreographer who choreographs for Britney Spears, created the storyboards, starred in it, directed it herself, was there for casting and location scouting, co-edited the movie, *literally everything.* She's a creative powerhouse. I have *so* much respect for her as an artist! Love your reactions by the way :) P.S. One more note though! (sorry for going on and on) I think it pays to listen to the songs on K-12 on their own first, as one or two of them are kind of cut down and spliced into movie scenes. I’m such a Melanie Stan. The fact she really made visuals for all these songs on her first album. And they all do tell a story like blows me away. K-12 is so good. I can’t wait for the third album and her second movie ALSO SIDE NOTE: Melanie says when she writes songs she visualizes the video in her head as she’s writing that’s how her process works. Visuals then she writes according to what she sees in her head.

When Melanie was little she had to choose between a puppy or her bunny, she chose the puppy, so they gave the bunny to a friend that already had a bunny so they could be friends. A few day efter they found there bunny in the negihbor's garden and Melanies bunnys head in there garden. Thats why the doctors have bunny masks on🥺

The “Care Bears” are actually called rushton dolls, Melanie is obsessed with them. Personally I find all of them terrifying except the duck

I loved what you said about people missing out when they say "it's a linear story"! Judging by the amount of symbolism and metaphors in everything, I'm pretty sure Melanie wants us to good deep into every song like you did instead of just follow a story.

There is a theory about the poison in tag your it and milk and cookies. To start with the poison was not poisones when she got it from the the cashier (ANgELitA) it was just blue water or something i dont know. In milk and cookies when she wanted to use it, it turnt into poison. In the music video from the principle, the drink he was drinking turnt blue and it looks a lot like the poison from tag your it and milk and cookies. The principle had a similar reaction to the blue stuf but because he had the right medicine he suvived. It's called chemokinesis and people think that it is one of cry baby's powers, and it actually makes sense... But its just a theory.

I love this reaction and I think that the reason I grew to really enjoy Melanie and her music is because she is the most creative and unique artist in my opinion and she always has such crazy visuals that plays a big part in her stories.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I like how you listened to album and then watched the videos. I really like hearing your first impression and seeing how close you were to the video narrative because I think in each and every song you were ssoooo close to the video representation. Plus I love how insightful you are and love watching You in your element (which is the music). Same reaction when Mrs. Potato Head was released. That was a roller coaster of emotions like what Melanie was doing is a real art! You can see that she's putting her heart out in every song and mvs. She deserves more recognition. And she admitted that MPH took long for her to finish writing bc she wants to convey the message like real straight. And she did.

It's so crazy that I've been a fan of Melanie since 2016. So long ago. I was only 14 when I fell in love with her music and artistry. She's been my favorite artist for 5 years now

I feel like carousel, alphabet boy, soap, training wheels and pacify her were about Crybaby growing up and experiencing love as someone with that childhood and background. Also if you watch the movie/album k-12 then that is about Crybaby going through school and finding her true self and power, the storytelling is super cool!

Whenever i see tag ur it. I can’t help but think that the girl at the store was also a victim of molestation as a kid and she helps Crybaby by giving her advice on what to do and to have the confidence to fight back like she never did.

Melanie had to choose a pet; either a bunny or a dog. Her neighbour got a dog and they got the bunny. They left both pets in the garden and they came back to the bunny decapitated. She even has a tatoo of it

In Sippy Cup the mom kills the father and the mistress not the brother although the brother is never really seen or talked about again so ig we can assume something happened to him so he could've also been killed in the mother's rage

The reason alot of her characters have bunny masks on them is because when Melanie was a kid her family got a dog. At the time she also had a bunny so she had to choose between the two pets. She chose the dog and gave her bunny to a friend but it was later found decapitated in her friends garden. She also has a bunny tattoo on her arm because of this and she spoke about it in an interview.

This album and these videos made me who I am

The story go on in k-12 so I recommend k-12 because when crybaby grows up she go’s to 1st grade and she is being bullied and being called names and Mels songs are more easy to see and get the meaning of the songs. She also symbolizes the boys like blue and girls like pink thing with the uniforms. So please watch k-12 the film thank you 😊 and also if you did not realize, in dollhouse she says “please don’t let them see what goes down in the kitchen’’ or something like that sippy cup is what is actually what is going on down in the kitchen and what actually happens with how her mother handles her husband cheating. Just thought I should throw that little fact in there!

Yeah Crybaby, Dollhouse, and Sippy Cup explores her family life; Carousel and Alphabet Boy are the same love interest; Soap and Training Wheels are the same second love interest; Pity Party, Tag You’re it, and Milk and Cookies go hand in hand; she tries again at love in Pacify her, but that failed relationship makes her feel bad about her appearance, until she sees the woman in Mr Potato Head; she makes her “crazy” friends and explores mental health in Mad Hatter. There’s a storybook associated with the album too.

I love that you said that "Pacify Her" is immature behaviour from Melanie. I'm quite jealous myself, be it friends or my partner who I have no reason not to trust. It's self-esteem issues from childhood. You want to make absolutely sure this is "your person" and nothing and no one is taking him from you. Which is very childish thinking, because your partner doesn't belong to you. But you're craving that certainty that you never had in childhood, that someone really chooses you and you're his priority.
