Fundy and Tommy were saying if he chooses to exile him then he’s following in Schlatts footsteps. 20:21 This is Ghostbur (ghost wilbur but way different personality, technically they are different people) 22:07 They called themselves the Butcher army when going after Techno (get it cause Techno is a pig) and Ranboo tags along with Quackity Tubbo and Fundy 26:09 Yeah Technoblade has this thing where he compares Tommy to Theseus because of their similarities like getting exiled, being disgraced, despised by the people, which is “what happens to heroes”. As I said before Tubbo exiled Tommy, so that and the events of Hog Hunt occurred simultaneously. Eventually Tommy ran away from his exile spot after realizing the bad things Dream was doing to him so he fled and found Techno’s cabin which he deemed his “new home”. From there you see the whole thing with the wither reveal so that’s why Tommy was missing for most the animation.

I always enjoy watching people who don’t know the story of the smp react to SAD-IST

late-august’s animatics are probably the next popular ones of this fandom. The style is different since it looks less cartoony and is all colored in and instead of using voice clips the music and art tell the story instead. It should be easier to tell what’s happening for you since you have a better idea of the Dream smp from these sad-ist animatics and basically guessed a lot of the plot. The order is Innocence, Desolate, Resolve, Shatter, and Avarice and they also include some extra scenes as well as further plot lines in the story. Also by the way just some extra stuff, the only information we have on Dream’s looks is that he is 6’2, has dirty blonde hair, freckles, and has green eyes (did an eye reveal on twitter) so that’s what people base their character design for him on if they show his “face”.

10:48 the fish actually has to do with the plot, so that fish is sapnap's pet that tommy use as a hostage, sapnap known as a pet killer in the smp and tommy lose almost all of his pets because of sapnap. with sapnap's fish which tommy got from dream before, tommy holding it as a hostage to prevent sapnap killing more pets, and it ended up to tommy and sapnap have an agreement to not killing or holding anyone's pet anymore by releasing sapnap's fish in the ocean which is shown in the animation

Believe it or not, the fish is an actual character on the Dream SMP. It's Sapnap's fish that Dream gave Tommy in the Fall, to which he releases in Dawn of the 16th. Tommy, now later, goes and finds the fish and gives it back to Sapnap for his friendship.

The Passerine animation is also a dream smp related one btw. It's based off a fanfiction including Philza, Technoblade, Tommy, Wilbur, etc. Even though it may be hard to understand since u did not read the fic, the animation is still amazing!!

Honestly you understood the plot so well for someone who isn’t familiar with the DreamSMP. You picked up on the characters really well and lots of the little details which you usually managed to figure out what they meant just fine which was really cool to see.

Techno compared Tommy’s character in the Dream SMP to Theseus. A hero that fought valiantly for his home, who ended up exiled for trying to do the right thing

Easiest way to learn the story - EvanMCGaming has a complete Dream SMP story playlist, made up of videos summarizing the various events in narrative order. It'll give you enough of an understanding that you'll be able to watch clips and so on instead of having to track down videos from a whole host of different youtubers and piece together what order they occurred in. The story was planned at least in terms of broad stroke story beats, but most of the actual interactions were improvised. All the youtubers are playing themselves as characters, so they're not intended to be directly the same person as they are in real life. They generally have created backstorys about who they are and how they got here. So it's not meant to be dreams real face - it's the face of the character he was playing in the story as imagined by fans.

Things you may have missed or things that could use a little context (Sorry that this comment is so long there is a lot): The scar on tubbos face and hand are from him being executed by techno via rocket launchers. (Only seen in "Dawn of 16th", "Elvelyn Elvelyn", "Hog Hunt") Philzas cloak from behind ripples to look like elytra, Minecraft wings that he has in every MC game except the dsmp (because they're found in the end, which is banned). One side is torn, resembling his torn wing that he used to shield Wilbur during the explosions. (You can see him shield Wilbur with his wings in "Dawn of 16th) Ghostburs blue ghost blood is around Techno's house because he visits often and even helped the butcher gang navigate the last bit to technos home, thinking they were there to visit. (This is in Hoghunt) Techno hung up his fancy cloak because he had switched his skin to the Artic Empire, as had Phil. (Hog Hunt) Crows are philzas animal messenger, responsible for sending/receiving his messages and how he communicates long distance (pming people in mc chat), something that has been canon confirmed by Phil. He's also leaning toward his chat being a bunch of crows, so he has a canon reason for chatting with them. (This is seen in Hog Hunt with the crow bringing Techno the letter in Hog Hunt) When the butcher gang goes to kill techno, Ranboo is the only one not in armor. He didn't have a bloody butcher skin and was hesitant in all of these actions but went along. (Hog Hunt) Ranboo also doesn't loot or break anything in philzas home during the ransacking. (Hog Hunt) As the butcher army approaches technos home, Tubbo is in front but big Q is holding the torch, as Tubbo is technically the leader but Q is the one who is actually in charge. (Hog Hunt) The reason Techno surrenders is because his favourite horse Carl was threatened. One of his top donators FossilNet said that if Carl dies he stops donating. (Hog Hunt) When techno surrenders, there's a few flashed images. One of them is philza with a creeper head on, hiding in the trees, as Phil had gone to watch from the shadows and used a creeper head so his peeking would blend in. He didn't want to be seen as Tubbo put him on house arrest for not helping them find techno (Hog Hunt) When Punz attacked during the execution, Ranboo goes on full defense, not attacking just blocking. This is because he hates conflict and only fights in self defense (Hog Hunt) When the totem activates, Techno is stitched up by a green strand (The colour of the totems), This could also be a way to show that he now owes Dream a favor and Dreams art for leverage is usually people with green strings leading back to him. (Hog Hunt) Eret and Philza made a bit of lore that was included in Technos reforming scene. They had said that a totem doesn't stop death, but rather it regenerates everything in its area so fast that the death doesn't take hold (so you don't respawn and don't lose a canon life), which is why he tears apart and then mends quick. (Hog Hunt) When Techno and Quackity fight, Techno's moves are all smooth and talented. He knows how to fight and is experienced, even with a pickaxe as his weapon. Quackity, on the other hand, is slower and more robotic, as he isn't as good of a fighter. (Hog Hunt) All members of Sleepy Bois Inc (Techno, Philza, Tommy, Wilbur who have a sort of family dynamic) have braids for their connection. (Hog Hunt) Both Tommy and Tubbo are seen with a chain sticking out, Tubbo in pocket and Tommy around his neck. These are their compasses - "Your Tommy" and "Your Tubbo" gifted to them by Ghostbur, that point to one another's homes (at the time the compasses were made) during the exile. The wings guy as you call is Philza tecnos friend. Phil killed Wilbur and Wilbur is now Ghostbur. Phil was put on house arrest for not telling lamanburg where tecno was. That fox or bear as you called him is fundy Wilburs son in the lore Wilbur is also Phils son in the lore . The guy with the wide grin on his face is Sapnap. During the Dream SMP war. One of Dream's close friends, Dream lives with him, as I've heard many times. The guy in the background, during the Dawn of the 16th is Philza, best friend to Technoblade IRL. It was him that had the hardest time when Technoblade died. I feel for him. No-one currently knows who Dream is, although he's planned to have a face reveal sometime soon.

Technoblade does not go by a script like every one els. He is gust being himself.

This was amazing! You are amazing! The fact that you noticed things, managed to appreciate the art and animation AND the plot. So enjoyable to watch. And naturally, the animations are quite far behind on the storyline and it's so fun to rewatch and just see how far the characters and story have gotten! Although every character is the main character of their own story (something I really like about the Dream SMP), Qackity was not as relevant to the main plots as some other charecters. He was important, just not as in front as some other charecters. The more plot-relevant charecters are the people that managed to get in a position that affected and drove the plot the most at the start and (what is considered as of now) middle point. And although we have these "main" people that are often close or in the middle of the plot, it does change as every character has their own reasons to do or not do things. Wilbur was the first (main plot) scriptwriter to the SMP btw. A light script that has important plot points that change depending on how the streams turn out. He has since stepped down and is being written by more than one SMP member. Will basically wrote the "first act" if you will. But every character is important and is slowly developing their own plot and intertwining it with the main plot. It has been a pretty huge break from the plot for a while now, actually just recently starting up again. And who knows when we get a new plot stream again lol Honestly, the story and character development for many of them are pretty incredible. And then taking in the fact that it is all done and acted out through different lives by different people on a Minecraft server. Much credit. And then the fan animations and songs that just really show us the *true* story that may get hidden behind the silly game and the humor that is often present. Man, the great new development of the plot and re-analyzing these animations have really gotten me pretty excited. I never meant to make this comment so long lol

There is one Dream SMP singer who is truly phenomenal and tends to fly somewhat under the radar. Her songs are very unique. Her name is Amanda Fagan. She wrote a song recently celebrating a major milestone in the SMP, a song called, "Once Upon a Time." Definitely worth a reaction video, as it resonates with the lore of the SMP. Hey Im just saying: In "Hog Hunt" Quackity was threatening to kill Technoblade's horse not only because he's basically had the horse since the beginning but also one of His top donators said that they would stop donating if Carl died, which makes Carl very valuable in this situation, and Quackity's only leverage against Technoblade. I hope that clears up why Technoblade gave up that fight because of a horse :)

I’m late, but for clarification, Wilbur didn’t go insane or “lose it”. It’s a common misinterpretation sadly. Wilbur’s mental health deteriorated after the first war (seen in the Dream SMP War Animatic) but the other characters don’t know because his defense mechanism is to act like he has nothing wrong with him. From his perspective, you can see him lose his self preservation, no longer running from explosions. He only fights with a bow (with the exception of one time where he used an axe to defend his friend Niki) so if someone got too close, then he can’t do anything, he’s dead. He has held other weapons but he doesn’t use them. You got it on the nail later in the video, the explosion plot and villains thing was a coverup for his suicide. It was that situation where he wanted to die but he couldn’t bring himself to kill himself directly, the explosion was supposed to kill him but Philza (his father) protected him, sacrificing his wings. Because of his villain facade, he was able to justify to Phil that he needs to die, so Phil assists in his suicide by stabbing him with a sword, For those who’ve watched the Dream SMP, the biggest confirmation was during his when he was in a cobblestone box in the button room (1:01:18-1:03:34 in Tommy’s Quackity betrays Jschlatt vod), I don’t have the timestamp but Wilbur’s PoV was the “speedy stream festival what festival?”. As well as the fact he says “my unfinished symphony” after L’Manburg blew up and “my finished symphony” after he died (this was in Smithereens, the Nov 16th livestream).
