Boris was Mayor of London when he got stuck on the Zip Wire and it was something to do with celebrating a gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics.

"Have I got news for you" has a record of embarrassing politicians and celebrities who think they are clever enough to lock horns with them, they also took the step of replacing Roy Hattersley for one episode with a tub of lard. It was the third time he had cancelled an appearance very close to recording time, so "Paul's team" consisted of Paul and a tub of lard.

The Boris ZIP Wire incident ... As mayor, Boris Johnson was visiting Victoria Park to highlight Olympic attractions across the capital when he was persuaded to ride a newly installed zip line. It was the sort of stunt from which any sensible politician would have sprinted. Instead, Johnson climbed a tower, allowed himself to be strapped into an undignified harness and, with a small plastic union flag in each hand, he set off.

My favourite bit of that video is watching the guy's face go from "Hey, look at me! I'm cool!" to "Oh s**t!" as he realises what's about to happen.

The thing is, why did Prescott turn his wrist as he hit the guy? He could have hit him with a clean, round the corner punch, but John twisted his wrist as he hit him.

@robertwilloughby8050 can tell you don't box "around the corner punch" haha. ALWAYS twist your wrist/arm with any straight punch. 1) it means your two strongest knuckles land on the target. 2) it creates torque. 3) it keeps your arm straight (less injury) 4) it's easier to bring your arm back quickly in to a guard position (you don't want the side of your face exposed for a counter)

Jeremy Corbyn (the guy at 1:25 and 4:12) invited 2 convicted IRA volunteers to the House of Commons (one of the 2 houses of the UK parliament) just 2 weeks after the IRA killed 5 people when it bombed the Conservative Party conference.

One of the best moments I think was when Liz "The Lettuce" Truss was interviewed by local BBC radio stations. Our very own Rima Ahmed (radio leeds) kicked it off. It starts off with "how are you? Did you sleep well?" then goes into the financial disaster that had just happened, before asking "Where've you been?"

GB news is the British wannabe version of Fox News, and the Mail online is the internet wing of the Daily Mail tabloid, which literally supported the Nazis during the war and honestly aren't much better now a days. They are propaganda machines, not journalists.

The point of UKIP was done once the UK voted to leave the EU. I think they were technically still around, but a lot of the politicians left and formed the Brexit Party. That party is now Reform, which according to polling suggests they could win some seats in this election.

Thanks Alana. I loved the moment when Boris opened an umbrella and it turned inside out - there was a great look on the face of the lady in the background. Take a look at the Count Binface party political video for a new contribution. Why do politicians insist on dancing at every opportunity? Unfortunately, the dominance of visual media encourages politicians to do stunts and things which can result in photos on newspaper covers or (even better) a clip on TV news. You can tell when footage shows the House of Commons because it has green benches (the Lords has red). Did you complain to the Broadcasting Commission or IPSO about misuse of your material?

I agree with your idea about complaining to the authorities. Even if you don't want want to press for a resolution, the registered complaint could be useful as evidence, even as just a statistic, in a more seriously prosecuted case.

Disagree with him on Brexit although he is from the left of the 1970s which opposed the EEC as it used to be but on everything else he is/ was brilliant. Very witty in parliament and passionate about his principles. An accomplished singer too; there is footage on You Tube of him singing to old people in a care home. Not many MPs would go out of their way to visit to sing for residents. The footage of him being ejected from Parliament for refusing to withdraw a comment he made about Cameron is also vintage Dennis Skinner.

To answer your question, UKIP was a one issue party, so after Brexit the same people formed The Reform Party. One of my pet peeves is lazy journalism, where the 'journalist' just regurgitates something that has previously been published elsewhere. (Or writes a one sentence piece, and fills the rest of the page with quotes from other people on Twitter) I am shocked but sadly not surprised that you videos were used in this way. Boris was Mayor of London at the time of the zipwire incident, not Prime Minister. It was part of the 2012 Olympics showcasing of London. Quite what is said to the rest of the world about London, I'm not sure!

Footage from 1989 ( first televised) onwards through the nineties is really noticeable for how much more civilised the tone of debate was. MPs actually listened to others much more in PMQs. Not always perfect but a lot better than the last fourteen years.

Surly a custard pie would be a beautiful embarrassment, but no one is ever going to get close enough to have that opportunity are they? Trudeau has to be one of the biggest on going political embarrassments, along with his two southern neighbours in the US. Do you think it’s a thing within the politician’s character?
