Exactly. And part of the reason Lucifer is all show-offy when the song starts is because Alastor was needling him before and sucking up to Charlie at the same time.

He's also hostile with Lucifer because Alastor gets super offended if he's ignored or disregarded by anyone, as seen by his reaction to Carmilla having no interest in where he'd been. Lucifer not only didn't know who he was or care about him until Alastor openly attacked him through Charlie but he also insulted him, belittled him and thought nothing of him. Alastor wasn't going to let that stand and decided to cut into the father-daughter moment, though he ended up giving up on that by "More than anything".

​@@tetragaming6332 A lot of the time it's The Devil=Lucifer=Satan. The three are used very interchangeably, which is wrong and was caused by a mistranslation. In the original Hebrew: Satan means Adversary, and was used in relation to Lucifer because he went against God. So calling Lucifer "Satan" is technically correct. The Devil, however, is a completely separate enitity that directly opposes God. So both Lucifer and The Devil are "The Satan, The Adversary," but they aren't the same person.

To be fair, Alastor was a hair away from death, while Lucifer was leagues away from being harmed

Imo, Lucifer shouldn't have to finish the duel. He's LUCIFER while Alastor is just some overlord. Lucifer looked weak just by entertaining that rivalry with Alastor. Lucifer should have just told Alastor to stfu.

@@MsAliciaRL all I'm gonna say is look at the lyrics to the song. The TLDR is at the bottom, but... Lucifer is the only one showing off his power, while Alastor spends all of his lyrics attacking Lucifer's relationship with Charlie and saying (Alastor) is better at being a father figure. Basically, the rivalry/duel is literally Alastor trying to be the Piccolo to Charlie's Gohan and Lucifer's Goku, all while the animation basically gives the vibe that "Lucifer and Charlie being estranged is Lucifer's Kryptonite". Kind of like how Kryptonite is literally the only reason why Lex Luthor is even a problem for Superman. However, the More than Anything sequence later in the episode puts the kibosh on Alastor being able to use that argument anymore, even moreso after Episode 8. tl;dr the rivalry was literally just "look what I can do" vs "look how loyal I've been", not "who is stronger between the two".

​@@MsAliciaRL But the thing is Lucifer isn't above it he may be more powerful but he's constantly willing to snoop lower, he would of battle a rat in the song if it chimed in, and that's the main difference between Alastor and Lucifer, Alastor never lets his emotions show as to be on top while Lucifer gets pissy over small things

A lot of people say that, but it's not true at all. He helped her, got her that meeting into Heaven, and there was no sacrifice given. Dazzle being killed during the battle against the exorcists doesn't count aside from no Hellborn being allowed to be harmed or else he'd be allowed to step in. But, I think even if Dazzle didn't die, Lucifer would've stepped in as soon as Charlie was hurt by Adam. Honestly, I think it was Adam attacking Charlie that triggered his coming and not Dazzle's death, since I don't know if Dazzle is a Hellborn or a creation like the Eggbois are. Adam's mistake was forgetting that little agreement and going after Lucifer's daughter.

There are two forshadowings in this song. First the one you mentioned. And later on Lucifer sings "Others say that in your needy hour There's no substitute for pure angelic power" When in the final Battle it looked like Adam would win, Lucifer showed up and Beat Adam.
