stage presence is not just showing abs and being sexy guys . its also about making the perfect facial expressions that fits the song and doing a performance that can attract the audience , and that is what IU and JooE did . being cute is also considered stage presence .

@@Your_Fan1 Not really referring to anyone specific but just stating that is not always about being sexy on stage. Not that being sexy is bad either because it also apart of stage presence. We’re just saying sexy isn’t “THE” only thing of stage performance. For instance some might think Kai and San have just sexy stage performance. I don’t see it as so, they are very charismatic and for them they can be whatever they need to be for the song etc. They can do it all and doesn’t matter if it’s sexy, cute or funny “whatever “ it’s still a part of stage performance. That’s why we’re saying there’s others layers as well.

The things is that stage persence doesn't always equal to being hot and sexy (there's nothing wrong with that ofc) but cases like IU are the people who are just so charismatic and produce good vibes that they dont need crazy dance or expressions to show their presence. IU has great stage presence coz she interacts with her fans and feels the emotions of her songs

Stage presence is more about confidence,facial expressions, energy, and charisma towards the audience not just dance also stage presence is mostly decided from live performances not music videos.

Stage presence means that the artist performing a song is, as it sounds, presence on stage and isn't zoning out while singing. When the artist is immersed in the song they are performing (could be a cute, sexy, charismatic song), it's called stage presence. They make the viewers enjoy the performance. Some artists have a stone face on stage no matter what type of song they are singing. Imagine singing a cute song with a stone face, that means they don't have a stage presence.

That’s a perfect way of putting it. IU wouldn’t be the first idol that popped into my mind, but now that I think about it, there are few idols who come across as naturally charming and likeable on stage as she does. Especially since, as you said, she doesn’t have the addition of crazy choreo. That in itself is something that’s hard to replicate.

IU is not a typical kpop idol, but she has an amazing stage presence. She is one of the most popular/famous idol in Korea and Worldwide. As a soloist, she carries the stage from start to finish. She did not get famous by being in a group and then becoming a soloist, she started out as a soloist and saying she does not deserve to be in this list is absurd.

19:12 Tzuyu doesn't do much on stage and most of the time just like in this video it looks like she is bored when performing. If it was a survival show nowadays she would get criticized so much and would have been eliminated very early. Jihyo is has really good stage presence, she is enjoying the stage and watching her makes the people watching happy.

Guys, lol stage presence is the ability to make a song come alive on stage rather than just singing with a blank face. Stage presence does not mean being sexy. Its just using facial expressions and energy to match the song and the dance. And its not just a Kpop thing, Beyonce is a perfect example of stage presence in her performance.

stage presence is simply the confidence to present their song on stage in a charismatic manner, be it with expressions, strong dance moves or sometimes none of that .For people like iu their charm alone does the work. T.O.P takes his glasses off and the entire crowd goes crazy, then he opens his eyes and the roar of the crowd is wild. That’s stage presence, there was no dancing no rapping. Not many artists can pull it off but he can. Doom Da Da solo performance by T.O.P of BIGBANG Japan Dome. Unfortunately was not shown in this video. G-Dragon of BIGBANG is considered one of the best performer in the industry, unfortunately they didn’t choose a good example of his charismatic presence on stage in this video.

The song “Love Me Again” is the greatest evidence of theatrical presence, which I mean. It is not easy. to sing in a cave without dancers behind or different elements. It is just V singing standing with a microphone alone. It is a difficult equation. I mean, how can this person fill the place and attract attention? Once he is alone, of course, the theatrical performance will be stronger and easier if there is choreography, back dancers, diverse backgrounds, and a fast rhythm. Therefore, I am very impressed with Kim Taehyung and his abilities that he showed in his first album, LayoVer, and that he is able to shine on his own.

It would be cool to see a more recent version of this video. I think a bunch of idols were missing, like Nayeon, Baekhyun, J-Hope, and a few seventeen and Ateez members too. I also think that there would be a lot of 4th and 5th gen idols who weren’t active or were overlooked when the video was posted that would be included: Yujin, Yunjin, Chaewon, Yeonjun, Ryujin, Julie, Natty, and a good chunk of Baby Monster should all be included in a 2024 version.
