Being so young when he signed on to BigHit was a 13 years old going on 23 year old. He was raised under tremendous pressure. He is a rare person artist just amazing. Just learning himself and maturing in his own time his own way. JK is forever JK. He is born for his profession.

I think his song “my time” explains it well how it affected him. Never really having a normal childhood and having to grow up fast. Not seeing his family, at times feeling lonely etc. but also how this motivated himself to go on and hope for positivity. Accepting that he doesn’t live a “normal life”. Just to keep moving forward and not regret his past.

I do believe it is definitely much harder growing up the way JK did than it would have been if he had a regular adolescent, without question! With all the work and practice and pressures that come from trying to make it in the music industry, it's amazing that he was able to do it so well. I remember being an adolescent and it was really tough a lot of the times and that's without all the work and pressures. It shows that JK has an inner strength as well as all his talents and abilities. I do feel that all the other members of BTS helped him greatly to deal with it, but at the end of the day you still have to go through it alone. The sad thing perhaps is he may not have ever known what it is like to just be a lazy, carefree, uninspired teenager.

He did go to high school, but he did not go to university the right way he did later and graduated top of the school. He always was shy and his mom signed him up for martial art for him to open up. He is such a brave kid. I started earning a living by making bamboo baskets when I was 8 years old, I kind of understand why JK loves BTS members so much because they love him but also when you are by yourself in a strange place you will treasure those who treasure you. I still have childhood best friends and we love each other so much. JK is a gem, I am amazed. God created him with extra sparkles. I can listen to his voice all day and night and it is soulful in his voice like a sadness that makes me cry. That song still with you carries so much burden beyond the meaning he gives. How artists always have multiple meanings and stories behind the story they said.

As a singer he is the most versatile and talented, a singer who knows no limits, no exact place and time to sing and no doubt he is one of the greatest singers of all time. As a voice he's an angel who send you to heaven whenever he starts singing. His soul is filled with love; he is very caring, kind, respectful, generous and the most down to earth person ever. Hi DT. I shudder to think of JK not in BTS. At a young age he already chose his future. Even then his determination and persistence convinced his parents to allow him to audition, and his life was changed forever. I have to give it up to his parents though in a society where your child should focus on excelling in academics rather than the music industry. The percentage of success is so low. JK is quite incredible, and I can't get over how this shy introverted kid became a force to be reckoned with in this very competitive business. Jungkook loves his work, and loves ARMY ( sometimes we don't deserve it). Except for his success with Dreamers, I know many are so anxious to see/hear about his solo projects or release of new music. The anticipation is great because we want to support his works too, like we are the other members. In reality, this is his time to recharge and I would feel bad if we stressed JK and Tae because our expectations are so high. Even so, I can't wait. The older members have proven they can hold their own individually and JK will too.

Ofcourse I would say JK paid a huge price for his dreams. It's not easy to start at the age of 13, you & I know what that really felt like. But what is incredible about him, is that he did work hard for everything he has till date. No one can take that away from him. He's too grateful to the members for being around & happy they are awesome beings too. But it is he who built himself & he owes it to himself. in my opinion debuting in his early age helped him to grow faster in his career. as he wanted to be a signer, so was on the right time on the right place. dancing is better to start to learn as early as possible. and according to the book Midnight library (RM read this one) no need to calculate what could happen if someth was happen differently. we have to be greatful that he sacrificed his young age for the music and dance art

Many solo stan criticised jk for many reasons but they should know jungkook literally carried the group on his little shoulder since debut.

When JK said in his wlive that if he reincarnates, he wishes to be a rock so that he does nothing, I was touched and felt the fatigue he was experiencing. He deserves this rest and carefree life. It’s unfair to throw more expectations from him, or pressure him to work and work. Let us not be impatient. JK is a strong-willed person and is capable of deciding for himself. Their situation fosters codependency and emotional immaturity. That is the nature of the beast. Children need a structured environment to grow up in. This makes them feel safe. They want to know someone has their back. They need a warm meal. Help with their homework. They have days when they act like children and grown men the next. PUBERTY IS HELL. I can understand JK's attachment to animals. We can only support them. We are not family. But all people everywhere can mentor others. We can teach them to cook,to sew,to ski, to blow dry their hair. We can be a mast to hold onto in gale force winds.

i think both. in a way it helped coz he was able to reach his dream and maybe even make him stronger coz he got to experience normal human beings haven't or cudnt experience. however, not having a normal childhood can also be a burden too, maybe even not good for d mental health sometimes. so either way... it cud hurt and help him too. it is up to him to which path he chooses to live. make it a positive influence on him or negative.

Its his humility and sincere love that propel his greatness. Many are great but they r trash personally.

DT - The question you posed is unfair, it's a what if, and any one can say what they think looking into someone else's life but only JK can truly answer that AND his answer may be different in 30 years! You know, the cliche "what's normal?" question. But I honestly think the more valid question is how well has he coped with the career path he has chosen and it appears that he has coped/is coping well. I mean nearly everyone has parts of their teen life experience that they could say "if I, should have, could have, would have"... some adult decisions as well! 🤦🏾 But JK seems to be well grounded and generally happy and I agree with another comment that I read here that this has a lot to do with the members of BTS, Papa Bang and the managers/staff. It certainly was risky, as a parent, to allow your son at 13 to leave home to train as an idol in an industry notorious (at least in the US) for manipulating underage talent. But this is just my opinion. Respect and thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Jeon; your son is an amazingly talented artist and an outstanding person. I think debuting at such a young age both hurt and helped him. He had to grow up faster but it so obvious that he was destined to be the entertainer he’s become. It’s also amazing that he had 6 older brothers looking out for him. My only worry for him is that he needs to drink to express himself. That can be dangerous. Hopefully he finds a better way to accomplish that. I can’t wait to see what is next for him and the rest of BTS.

Both, he grew as an entertainer , but lost out in his teen years,and learned from his hyungs. Each taught him what he would not have learned as a teenager.

I think that if he'd been surrounded by people who weren't as good as the rest of the members, JK very well could have been destroyed. He's so sensitive, so hard on himself and so eager to please that he would have been easy to abuse. He's very fortunate that these were the men he was put with, especially Jin, who took so much responsibility for making sure he had as much of a home life as he could. They did everything to raise him, and they're all justifiably proud of him. Everybody always talks about how he debuted at 15, but that ignores the fact that he was a trainee for two years before that, meaning he left home at 13. I don't know about anyone else, but I sure as hell wasn't ready to leave home at that age. It speaks volumes about his inner strength, the members' inner goodness, and the wisdom behind Bang PD's approach to running Big Hit that he made it this far with his head and his heart more or less on straight. He may still have suffered from the lack of a truly grounded background, but he always had love and support in his members and in the staff, all of whom love the boys like family. JK was raised and grew up as well as anyone ever could have in his circumstances. A less secure, less well-treated person would have fallen into something extremely self-destructive, but he's stayed the course. I think he has every reason to be proud of who and what he's become. (Sorry for the essay.)

I think there are 2 side to the argument. He has been working nearly 10 years now and is immensely experienced but is only 25 or 26 still so he still has many more years to perform, but if he feels inadequate because he didn't concentrate on his education that can be a problem. There are many child stars from the past who struggled later. I hope his "brothers" continue to support him. Because of their huge success he cant socialise normally so perhaps he has a problem making friends. I dont know, I just hope he is alright, perhaps he will make non artist friends when he joins the army.
