yeah I had the same struggle when I was 19. Don't wait for them, write your own songs, record them and put them out. Way easier to gain interest like that. Just program drums

I remember I met you in 2003 in Nancy France , Music Academy Int master class I was a student there you gave me an advice to always write down any musical idea I accidentally or intentionally get while practicing. Esse VHS foi muito importante p mim na época. Junto c as fitas do Mozart, Faiska, Tomati... Morava em Marilia e era o que tínhamos de informação. Demais! Eu achei q estava tocando bem pois eu tinha as fitas do Kotzen, Malmsteen, P. Gilbert e quando assisti essa fita e o show do Angra ao vivo em 94....percebi q precisa estudar. All this does is prove to me that some people are just born naturally gifted. Regardless of the practice. Their technique is just flawless. I can practice and practice, and even though I might pick up some tricks and be happy with my playing style....ill still never look or feel like he does even at the age of 19.

Com o meu primeiro cachê, que ganhei há muito custo tocando numa festa horrível, pude adquirir esse VHS, ao qual ninguém mais aguentava assistir na minha casa, de tanto que eu via. 7:00 16 ..and he was playing like a God at 19 like only 3 years to get this insane level.. how.. probably by playing a lot of hours but yeah i try my best and alternate picking is hard xD.. that's insane insane alternate and sweep pick.. i m really shocked.. that's just ..the most insane thing i ve seen Feels like he was playing since 10 years but no only 3 years of electric

the pink guitar was the one you bought from the back of a trunk of a car back home I remember you telling the story about it and Ibanez! Truthfully I love this video I have a copy of it is very informative ... for some kid playing guitar in the 90s it was very helpful I wish I would have had it back then

I assumed it was the pink guitar of which he spoke & purchased on the black market of an Ibanez at the time which was not available in Portugal .. nice! I often believe that guitar players who are left-hand dominant have more control and are adept at legato from a younger age, he even states that in the video he had legato control early on and he had to work on his right hand picking! It was a great video to watch

Remember, natural talent is important in how fast you can master the instrument. But slowing down and hitting the metronome is the only (for us non-virtuosos) way to get there. You can all do it in time. Good luck!
