FYI, Thailand's keeper against Saudi was the 2nd choice. Ishii decided to sub out all 11 starters for a complete rotation including the goalie. Anuin (the 2nd goalie) impressed me alot but Patiwat (our #1) didn't really have much to do in the first 2 games apart from some easy saves and I was extremely impressed with his distribution accuracy though. As for the game against Uzbek, I think we'll still be competing with the compact defensive stance but perhaps we'll be a little more brave in exploring outside our half though results wise, stalling to penalties wouldn't be a terrible option. I want to see the team utilise our technical skills and play short passes slowly up the pitch in a formation. I think that playstyle suits us well and all the players have high technical skills and I think Ishii recognises that and will slowly adapt playstyles. Regardless, he's been in charge for a little more than 2 months now and I'm sure things will only improve from here.

as what I said in early prediction video, I didn't expect Indonesia to quallify, but will be great if they managed to take 3rd place. my expectation and hope only not conceding too many goals, but with that expectation and if they managed to take the 3rd, there's a chance to qualify, and that's what happened, thankfully. Actually, tbh, Indonesians were hoping to get helped by Jordan. you can check in X or other social media. but yeah smaller Arabian countries are mostly known to play tricky in football for long time, although I kinda hope Jordan helped Indonesia but I kinda expect they wouldn't do that. thankfully Kyrgyzstan "helped" Indonesia, despite their result didn't affect them in the tournament but hey, they'll get more points on FIFA ranking compared to lose, and they left the tournament with more sportmanship and respect for giving fighting spirit

I really do hope Iraq wins, but I can't help but think about their sloppy team B and look at their messy defense in both team A and team B; almost all the goals in the group stage could've been prevented or atleast defended better against. I do hope this improves because their attack is fantastic and I have them winning this, or atleast reaching top 4.

AFC Asian Cup 2023 Full Predictions: Group A: Qatar, China, Tajikistan, Lebanon. Group B: Australia, Uzbekistan, Syria, India. Group C: Iran, UAE, Palestine, Hong Kong. Group D: Japan, Iraq, Vietnam, Indonesia. Group E: South Korea, Jordan, Malaysia, Bahrain. I was hoping India would get third but the end result was not surprising and nor was Uzbekistan's ability to draw with Australia. Australia seem to lack cohesion at the moment and playing Indonesia and having a longer rest into the quarters v KSA/Korea is of benefit, and that match v KSA or Korea is Australia's biggest hurdle to the final.

If korea wanted to deliberately lose they could’ve just sent out their B players instead of having Son, Min Jae Kim, Hwang In Beom, Lee Kang In play for 60-105 minutes. 3 of them already have yellow cards which is a huge risk for them to begin with. Their best goalkeeper tore his ACL on the 18th, which has only gone downhill for the team. the second keeper already conceded 5 goals; he has not played in the national games in a long time and is not as good as the first keeper who plays in the pro Saudi league and objectively has the best stats. Also Hwang hee Chan (2nd best overseas striker) who just recovered from injury played in the second half when Korea was down 2-1. They took 20+ shots and took advantage of every penalty/free kicks to lead after stoppage time. Does this sound like a team that wanted to lose?

thailand always get an easy GROUP.. i prefer vietnam than thailand to go to knockout.. if vietnam in group F. or indonesia in group F, i believe indonesia or vietnam will be at least runner up or on top of the group.

How is our group an easy group? Saudi is a regular team at the world cup and both Oman and Kyrgyzstan were in fine form before the tournament. We entered the tournament as the lowest ranking team and no one gave us a chance. Now after we made an upset some idiot claimed that we were just lucky. Such a loser. Vietnam is the top of the group, really? Did you see them play? They conceded penalties and red cards every game in the group stage. They couldn't even win against Indonesia and you believed they would win against Saudi? Such delusional lmao Vietnam lost to Kyrgyzstan during the pre-tournament friendly. Tell me again: how is our group easy?

Vietnam lost against Kyrgyzstan - the 4th place in that group, during the pre-tournament friendly. I don't see how they can be the top of the group. You are just salty that we made history while your team went home early with 0 points. And Vietnam could also qualify if they beat Indonesia but, nope! They trashed that game by handling the game to their rival with that stupid foul inside the box. They also conceded red cards in almost every game in the group stage. No way in hell this team can proceed to the knockout stage in any group they are in.
