Thank you for all the supportive comments guys! Much love, seriously. Just to answer the question, a lot of people are asking about my sister, I didn't talk about it in the video, but she passed away from an illness in 2011. She's no longer alive. I really miss her still to this day.

@@heistingcrusader_ad3223 He's probably struggling to get by doing some shitty job in Chile, with his parents unable to retire. Zero be sitting here with a bunch of cash easily able to afford to pay for his home, here in the U.S., with a better quality of life. I couldn't find much info on his mother, but I'm sure if she is alive, that he can (and might already?) ensure that she can live with him even into old age with a secure sense of financial income and independence. I have very supportive parents, but I can't imagine my mom ever allowing me to quit school and go as hard as Zero did into Smash. At the end of the day, it was a huge risk, but she fully believed in him and it paid off. I hope him and his mother live a long and happy life! Also, I have no sympathy for husbands who ditch their families, so he can go die in a hole.

who knows. the worst part about it is that now we cant trust nobody. and there could be even more stories that never got out because it wasnt a zero but just another average player. if this shit is supposed to change they are gonna need to change everything. the rules, the tournaments, the logistics. all of it. but for me honestly im done with smash, at least from the community aspect.

This happens everywhere. Even where I live in Iceland where a kid was constantly bullying me so I punched him and I got in so much trouble, and a month after he kept bullying me so I took him down and punched him so many times he couldn't move and I got expelled. Typical struggles of bullying.

Because here in Chile its really hard to come out when you are poor (to put some context, the minimun salary its 300k CLP and the old people thats retired get between 100k-90k CLP if you measure that in dollars its nothing ), thats why we are fighting and protesting against the unfairness that has been our system for 30 years. @@ekkehard8 Zero is from Chillán, a small city of 160000 inhabitants approx. And bad school records can make it hard to find decent schools. Chile has one of the worst education systems in the world, expensive as fuck and really inefficient at that, so it ain't hard to believe.

This makes me greatful for being a casual with a stable household, upbringing, and pizza delivery job. I can't imagine what it would be like to literally have to win just to pay rent and eat. I just came back from a tournament and got 9th place out of maybe 30 people. I had won 3 times and put up a decent fight against those who beat me. I left with a smile drove home chatting with my bro about how we learned a few match ups and came back into work to help with the closing shift, smiling with my friendly manager. I'm very lucky to not have to stress as badly about winning, led alone being infamous or poor. But you Zer0, you earned you're crown and time talking with Sakuri Himself and praise from IzawSmash. ZeRo First I want to thank you for helping me through a very dark time of my life. Throughout my entire life it’s been hell constantly, especially in middle and high school. Smash is what got me through it all, and your play is a big part of that. Once I found out about competitive and looked it up, this was around 2013 and some players were cool and all (M2K was one who did excite me) but one stood out... and that was how I found you. I would watch all your sets cause I genuinely loved watching you play, yea the brawl time was a bit boring to watch when timing out lol but I still enjoyed it. With the smash 4 inventional I got stoked, you already got me to play competitive so I wanted to see how the new game will play... and seeing your run was ecstatic. I always cheered you on and seeing that victory made me pop off! I was super proud of you Then when the streak started it was a super big confidence boost for me, seeing you kick everyone’s ass made me proud to be a ZeRo fan. I watched every tournament you did and I constantly got shit for cheering you on like crazy, but fuck em’ you are me biggest inspiration. I got really into Smash again with the streak cause I wanted to just be able to play a set against you, maybe I’ll win but I knew I was going to lose lol. When Nairo won breaking the streak I was proud of him for winning but I got really salty. When you retired I was in actual tears sitting in public, I was happy that you could put the game away and live a better life but that was so bittersweet. I basically quit playing competitively after that cause I’ve been sick of Smash 4 for a while at that point. No matter what anyone says I’ve always been proud to be a fan of you and to have you as an inspiration, screw the Smash community... they have always sucked and you didn’t deserve any of that abuse. I am absolutely positive that your sister and mother would be extremely proud of you right now with everything you’ve accomplished
