i love how they appear more happy these days, and especially in this music video. they embody more and more "happy metal" these days. in the recent world tour concerts, Su also looked more happy, saw her with lots of smiles compared to earlier days. i guess it's due to Momo's energy and perhaps that they don't need to put on this "serious face" mask like in recent days so that those elitist would take them more seriously

Btw we are not sure Metalverse will be 5 girls. No one of the dancers had a mic. They could be 3 with 2 spare dancers (like avengers), it could be 5, it could be more. We do not know more. Of the 2 girls added, Yume is one of the most popular from the last Sakura Gakuin batch that graduated. Her and Sakia (who is in the original 3 Metalvers Girls) have a really strong MoiMoi vibe, extremely Kawaii!! So many SG fans were thrilled to see Yume added to MV! We were also kinda surprised because Yume is still signed with the anime Onipans, of which she sang songs together with other SG girls!

You may be eating those words Alen that festival bring me the horizon is doing in Japan is the perfect opportunity for Su to perform kingslayer with them considering the pandemic was growing strong when it came out this will be the first show they'll do together since before the pandemic so you never know

Metali is gonna be one of their BIGGEST!! It's really the only post 2017/Yui era Babymetal song that feels like a natural extension. This is like Black Babymetal as a trio, because it's saucy and BIG FUN, with Su's verses and Momo's kabuki breakdown highlighting a real swinging house burner!!

If this is true, then I will be ecstatic. This would be the most former Sakura Gakuin girls performing together since @omefive. I immediately knew Miko, recognized Sakia when she smiled, but was unable to pick out Miki and Yume so far.

I like Metalverse, but I almost feel like the songs are the Metal Galaxy light side tracks that didn't make the cut. Kind of like how The Other One is all older and heavier tracks that didn't fit in with previous albums.

Not exactly like that, the songs are produced way before but Mirror Mirror for example is not nearly as old as Believing, it's not realistic that all the songs are that old tbh.

I'm not really sold on Metalverse either, but the third song is great, and the choreography so much fun. It seems they're going the more classic idol route, but with a lot of stylistic variety (all the 3 songs sounded different). Kaneko Ayano is just amazing, she's one of my favorite japanese artists (probably my no. 2 right behind BABYMETAL).

i guess metalverse is an j-pop group (j-pop, best pop, cuz rock/metal), and its verry good, for sure, but not my way :D and if they will do a anime opening i will never skip it :D

I’m always tempted to stop playback of Metali after Su‘s last note, the guitar stuff at the end doesn‘t do anything for me (and I‘m a guitarist). And the solo is very underwhelming to me, too. Sounds like a beginner lesson for going from straight 8th notes to triplets while playing basic scales.

The metalverse thing wasn't bad but it felt exactly how I thought it would. They just feel like a ripoff. They're definitely good and I know it's a fan cam but it just doesn't have that WOW factor nor the aggressively high levels of polish that Su and Moa have brought to the game. It's definitely more pop. Sounds like k pop with rock/metal inserts. Even 16 year old Su brought a whole new thing to metal that I'm just not getting here. This definitely needs to be it's own thing and appeal to a more pop audience.

@@BeccaVinesz maybe not but they got the Western KAMI band backing them and their outfits are what Babymetal's previous outfits only in green there should be a wall between babymetal and metalverse not a two-way mirror

@@MarkSpohn77 The western Kami Band was not the original musicians that started with BM, it's the same for the Eastern Kami Band as well since they are a rotation of musicians with some consistent members so it's not unusual they would use great musicians already known in their foundation. Also, their outfits are actually pretty different than old BM, they are not trying to make 1:1 copy of that even tho there is an intentional resemblance because of the genre Kawaii Metal in association, without mentioning their outfits are subject to change after a time and tbh it's not just a "rip-off" of BM, you know what is? Some people are just pessimistic about these things or it's just not their cup of tea but calling it straight "rip-off" is unfair since there is clear elements in METALVERSE that is very different than BM and Miko is definitely not trying to be SU-METAL in appearance or as a performer it definitely feels authentic. Idk, I just think that this argument of always making a company look like as they are making a lame "rip-off" for "reboot" to sell or just use as support is a lazy argument in itself it's like people just can't believe it's something genuine so they hold back at considering this as a project that has a clear point behind it... Without mentioning the lazy comments that are made about BM as well, but I'm not touching these as I would write a faculty essay about it lol.
