As a Wolves fan I agree. He did the same thing against the Knicks but finally made the obvious corrections, you’d think he’d be more prepared since you really can’t eff around with games against Boston.

Yeah, Nembhard should not have been in there. Tyrese and TJ should’ve been receiving the inbounds pass. TJ especially, since he’s the best pure ball handler on the team. Siakam/Turner/Toppen or whoever should’ve been making the inbounds pass. After 3 seconds, Rick should’ve called TO without hesitation. He should not have left that on his players.

To be fair when it comes to the free throws, Boston took 3s and layups, Indy took 3s and mid range jumpers. I mean every foul shot they got outside of the 3 by Haliburton was from actually getting to the rim lol.

I saw some obvious fouls they didn't blow the whistle. One on Haliburton where the dude chopped his arm on a layup, even the announcers said something and they showed the replay.

@@remy12if you’re talking about the Pritchard chop on Halliburton, after looking at the replay yes it is a foul but in that moment, he does touch the ball first so it’s a hard call to make in the moment.

@@Johnnybones1 You can sugarcoat it all you want, it was an obvious hard foul, the ref was standing right there. The Pacers didn't get their first free throw until 3 minutes left in regulation, 4th quarter.

@remy12 I mean I get that but it was just they weren't getting fouled shooting jumpsuits. They only had 8 more personal fouls than the Celtics even though they played 3 more people. They just committed shooting fouls and the Celtics did more reach in and loose ball fouls.

The Celtics committed the second least fouls in the regular season, while the Pacers committed the most in the entire league. That explains the discrepancy in falls in this past game. The Celtics for the most part do a decent job and not fouling out in the paces foul left and right

Halliburton ruined the game for the Pacers to win and not have to go to overtime with his bad decision at the end of the game By going for a 3 point shot and missing it which he didn't need for the Pacers to win the game. All he had to do was make a 2 point shot by going right up to the basket with the ball and if he couldn't get the 2 point shot then just get the foul have the Celtics foul him to go to the free throw line to win the game by 2 points or 1 point. 1 point is all the Pacers needed to win the game since the Celtics tied the game towards the end of the game. Don't know what Halliburton was thinking going for the 3 point shot and missing it instead of going for a 2 point shot right up at the basket😩

Let's be honest, the pacers fumbled, but in reality Boston shot worse from 3-point land than they normally do. Given that they also took 30 free throws, I think Indy has a defensive problem when they drive, which will eventually open up the three-point land for Boston. Boston will adjust and indy won't win another game I hope

indy is typically a low turnover team, 21 of the celtics points came off turnovers. That won't happen again

@@RobertDobert-ey8mh even then, that still means Boston wins. If they shoot 40% or even average this playoffs (~37%) from three, plus the would they were generating in drives, it can prove to be too much to handle. I think they need to sort out themselves defensively and bet even better but yeah

@@RobertDobert-ey8mhthey also don't typically have their primary ball handler matches up against Jrue holiday or Derrick white most games, so the turnovers should be looked at in that context. Given that Indy has to face the same defense for 7 games, I would definitely expect to see them have higher than normal turnovers

@@riffsthatkill2180 but a lot of their turnovers had nothing to do with the defense, they were just throwing the ball out of bounds or dribbling it off their legs. so I don't think the defense was entirely the problem

Pat knows nothing about basketball can’t blame the amount of fouls called on the refs the pacers guards aren’t strong enough . The Celtics were taking it to them every time in the paint and they had no choice but to fall . Hali, mc Connell , Shepard, and Nem are way to small for the Celtics 😂 that’s why the Celtics will just annihilate them once they get the switch there looking for .

Wild the amount of cope we see from pat. You'd think he'd give the celtics their due. The Pacers made mistakes but the celtics still had to make those plays. Plus commenting about the disparity in free throws "are the celtics so technically sound" like yes they were the 2nd best defense in the league... yes their starting point gaurd and starting sg are multi time and current All-NBA defenders.
