I'm planing on hair sponging my hair to get dreads again. Because waves are not working out for me so I hope my mom let me grow my hair back out if not I will have to sneak and sponge my hair at school and pick it out when I'm on my way home she dont care if i have a afro.

I've had just about every hairstyle.. afro, hightop, 360 waves, BALD (just to see if I could pull it off lol), box braids, cornrows..... just got starter locs 3 weeks ago and I'm MOST excited for this journey. Hard to know what the future holds but I'm really for this journey and I can't see myself cutting the locs off. As it is, I'm obsessed with longer hair and think society puts too much pressure on black men to conform to shorter hair lengths.

I feel like cutting freshly twisted locs would leave different swirls in the hair that's why most people dont go get maintained locs cut especially if you're going super low, that's just asking to get spotted and gapped by the clippers
