FYI ~ When Red Velvet debuted eight years ago, there were only four members. Yes, one of the Red Velvet members, Yeri apparently didn't participate until 2015. Yeri joined Irene, Wendy, seulgi, and Joy in promoting their current song called "Ice Cream Cake". Yeri presence gives the group its own color 🍰

fun fact about them is the fruits in the red flavor mv is their representative fruit (they each also have a color and an animal). IRENE- watermelon, red/pink & rabbit SEULGI- pineapple, yellow & bear WENDY- blue flesh orange, blue & squirrel JOY- kiwi, green & chick YERI- grapes, purple & turtle

In answer to your question Angel, Wendy's accident happened after the music video for Psycho was completed and released. Her injuries were severe and prevented her from working for a year. I am also Seulgi biased, and she regularly raises my spirits with her cute personality and amazing work ethic. Her vocal skill and dancing prowess really demonstrate the thousands of hours she has put into practicing. All of Red Velvet are hardworking gems! Thank you for this reaction and your calm and enjoyable vibes.

Wendy's my bias because of her amazing vocals. I think that Joy is my bias wrecker though. You're really pretty. And I agree with your husband that Bad Boy and Psycho are the best ones. I love the velvet side.

The group's name represents its concept, defined by two different images, "Red" and "Velvet". "Red" signifies their vivid and bold image, whereas "Velvet" reflects their classy and toned-down side.

Vocals and Versatility, that's Red Velvet. They are not afraid to experiment and evolve their sound and their concept, though you can always count on precise, intricate vocal arrangements and harmonies. Even though their company, SM, is known for recruiting and developing great vocalists, Red Velvet continues to raise the bar. they are incredibly prolific, having amassed a huge discography, and are also know as the "B-Side Queens", as their non-title tracks are as memorable as their showcase songs.

Something else you should know- Red Velvet's music videos and songs have been very thoroughly broken down by fans and they have found some interesting lore. Each music video is connected with each other, apparently, and the ReVe Festival is one of the deepest ones. Zimzalabim, Umpah Umpah, Psycho, and Feel My Rhythm are the 4 music videos that are for sure connected. Fans have been lead to believe that Red Velvet is a cult. They show magic powers, spells, incantations, and more in their music videos. There is one more theory about them being trapped in one member's world after another, with someone in control of it all.

What you said about psycho having a different feeling watching it could also be bc the youtube version and spotify version are different for some reason it was decided that the strings in the instrumental for the youtube version would be removed on other music streaming platforms like spotify but the strings give it an entirely different more emotional feeling imo

When the group debuted, it was revealed that they wouldn't be boxed into a cute or sexy label, instead hinging on an overarching concept of duality. The 'Red' concept is meant to show their bright, bold, and abstract side, and the 'Velvet' concept is supposed to show their more elegant and mature side.

Really liked your reaction, please react to more red velvet, especially bsides, the new album is absolutely amazing! Also, not all songs fit into red or velvet, many of them are a mix of the two, so some happy looking mvs have dark things/stories hidden, like russian roulette and umpah umpah

so about wendy major injuries situation is that when she was in rehearsal for a special stage on sbs gayo daejun, it was after the MV was released and she took 1,4 years hiatus for that.

Slight correction on red side vs velvet side. It's uptempo/peppy/energetic vs downtempo/laid-back/sensual. Red songs have a 50% chance to be straight-up summer bops like Red Flavor or Umpah Umpah or have creepy/dark elements juxtaposed like Peekaboo or Really Bad Boy (RBB). Sometimes its fantasy-magical instead of creepy, like Queendom or Zimzalabim. Psycho is the only velvet song thus far to have dark elements.

what i think they’re telling in Peek-A-Boo is that they order pizzas to get a pizza boy to their house, then they toy with the pizza boy, giving him false hope by having one of them “save” him, and then they eventually kill him. they show all of the members “saving” him at the end to show that they’ve done this multiple times and that all of them have gave a pizza boy false hope by “saving” him at some point.

Soooo of course there are many reasons folks have a bias, but I couldn't help but notice you mentioning their amazing vocals every time WENDY (my bias) was singing so..... maybe just follow your heart... hahaha jk jk jk seriously, finding your bias in Red Velvet is kinda tough because they're all so incredible, and improving constantly... I can't fault anyone for having a different bias than mine because they are each unique and bring something special to the group. I've been noticing Joy's vocals more in their recent comebacks than I have before, Seulgi is sort of my second bias hahah XD I can't say bias-wrecker because no one will take Wendy away, but gosh I just adore them all so much. I also love the velvet side most, or combination concepts, more than any very pure red side sounding songs.

If y’all get to watch feel my rhythm by red velvet, make sure to look up the piece of art “the garden of earthly delights” look at it and then watch the MV they do a lot of references on that piece of art by also staring the video with some other pieces of art that are pretty famous in the art world, also for this most recent song they (not red velvet) the producers sample Bash-Air on G string (this song is used usually when u graduate so y’all most know if not, search it up) and added some of what is called their sound or the red velvet sound from from some of their other songs like “bad boy”, “ice cream cake”, “red flavor” and “power up” and I think a bit of trap this time ( I don’t know I’m not an expert😂, but tried my best to describe it) i been a reveluv (red velvet fan base)since 2020 so I already know their sound which made their new song “feel my rhythm” more especial for me and an awesome and the most beautiful arraignment I have ever seen musically and visually everything matches so well on the MV is like they created this whole story from the very moment they debuted up until now . I’m sooo proud of my girls
