The "step on a crack, break your mother's back" is a silly superstition I heard a lot as a kid. Mostly used it as an excuse to go hopping down the sidewalk, jumping over every seam. :)

@@ZhenYaoYin Well, you know kids. Get angry with the parents, and you go stomping every crack you can find, lol. It is a pretty silly superstition, all things considered, but thankfully not one that comes true!

The song was perfect! Eli and Omar perfect too, definitely (by the way, have you already seen the live version sung only by Eli? To my taste, it sounds great too!). J None's rap is perfect too, and Geoff and Layne are great! In fact, I think this is one of my favorite VoicePlay arrangements (even though I don't like horror 😬 😁)

Love that you reacted to this one - I think it's way underappreciated, which is a shame because it's sooooo good. I'm guessing you two would really appreciate dissonance, manipulation of formant structure, subharmonics, and overtones in vocals. There's a singer you should really check out where dissonance and polyphony/harmonics are her trademarks. That and yodels. Her name is Diana Ankudinova.
