@@laurenk1021 I don't think there's an actual interview in which he addresses it, but it can be seen through out his career that in multiple interviews he is talking really slowly trying to put words together.

You really haven’t listened to Stern’s interviews, have you? On late night talk show interviews, the celebrity comes on for 10 minutes to make small talk and plug whatever they are promoting. Howard has 1-2 hours, so when he interviews celebrities, he digs deep. He wants them to talk about growing up, their sex lives, their relationships. He wants to dig deep into the creative process. He wants them to talk passionately about their craft as well as show their human side. How about you check out some of his actual interviews instead of some video that takes a bunch of random clips and puts them out of context?

@@paullennon8366 yes, everything you said was true, but I still stand by my first statement. Some of his comments and questions were a little too direct/invasive. I understand Harry is a celebrity, and has probably been prepared for these kinds of situations, nonetheless I don't agree that you should talk to anyone like this. Just because it's Stern's thing doesn't mean I agree with it. Same as the 49 other people who liked my comment obviously didn't agree with it. With Stern's show, it all boils down to whether or not you're comfortable with invasive questions being asked in order to get to the root of the creative process. You obviously are, but I'm not. As well as that, I don't understand how someone's sex life is involved in their creative process. I would love some kind of solid explanation as to how the whole thing about Harry's therapist was anything but pushy and seeking some kind of reaction. Me saying I don't like Sterns attitude or his show doesn't mean you need to try convince me otherwise, same as I'm not going to try convince you not to like him. It's a matter of opinion and taste.

@@youreinvalid8493 Hes not trying to convince you to like him, hes just explaining Howard's typical method of interviewing people, he likes to get really personal with his guests and I think most of the hate the interview is getting is because most fans of harry, who are on the younger side, are not familiar with him. I'm sure Harry knew this going into the interview and expected these types of questions, if he didnt then that's a huge ball drop from his management.

I don't understand ehat you mean by "Harry explains within seconds of when this edit cuts off...." . Do you mean there's another (unedited?) version of this interview - where Harry says he went home???? I remember the photos, a few years ago, of H leaving a party. Cara D was also papped later leaving the same party - as she picked up a plastic envelope of white powder she accidently dropped. I respect him so much for living according to his own values & not being a follower just to fit in. That pic of him leaving alone spoke volumes about his character. He's got a lot of integrity.

I completely agree. Even if he didn't like some questions, he was quite confortable and talked a lot. And Harry knew where he was going. He's not naïve.

I was coming to say the same thing. Howard is a master interviewer. Every guest knows what they are getting themselves into when they go on his show. And yes, the editing here is choppy.

I absolutely agree! Harry’s a grown man and knew what he was getting into and I think he did wonderfully. Stern is like that to ever one and could have been so much worse. I love the interview cause we learned a ton about Harry!!
