Cat Sarai - Gen X Rewind most of the bands of this era were really nice people. Although not this type of music a good example would be Iron Maiden. Global superstars who are still filling stadiums to this day yet are so grounded and down to Earth.

They are from my home town of Sheffield U.K. and the story is the band were playing at The Limit nightclub in Sheffield and Joanne and Suzanne were dancing among the crowd and Phil thought they would look good as dancers on stage with the band and the fact they could both sing was an added bonus. Imagine going to see your favourite band and the next thing you know, you’re on tour !
@chrisjones2224 Жыл бұрын
Not quite right, the girls were dancing at the Crazy Dazy, when Phil saw them, and uttered a chat up line that must have been used countless times since then, asking if they wanted to be part of a pop group. They were both still at School, Oakey had to get permission from their parents and School. On a side note, being the same Vintage as them, I don't think the 'daisy' lasted much longer, for some reason or other it was never on our pub crawl list, or final destination, odd given its location

(Keep Feeling) Fascination is truly one of their best songs. It is irresistibly catchy. The Human League has many great songs and classics to choose from but if I had to choose a #1 song from them I think it would Heart Like a Wheel.

Lead singer for Human League, Phil Oakey, did a great song with Giorgio Moroder(the king of disco and Donna Summers producer) for a little movie called Electric Dreams. Look up his song, Together in Electric Dreams in 1984. You won't be disappointed. Oh, also included was a great song(the best I think) by Boy George, Love is Love. Don't skip that one. Keep on.

Marry me, Cat. -Don't answer me now, think about it before you say yes. I'm thinkin' Beach wedding - Megan's Bay, USVI. You saunter down the sand to "White Wedding" "Do you take this rad chick?" "Do you take this cool dude?". Then fly on over to Paradise Island in Nassau. Kids play at Atlantis, we hit the casinos and the dance floor (all 80s) till sunrise. The next morning when you wake up, I'll be outside your suite window with a 16 D-cell Boombox on my shoulder playing 'In Your Eyes' from 7 floors down. After brunch and Advil, off to a Carlo Milano and you pick out a diamond so big people will think it's an ice cube. then a snorkel at Cable Beach, down 20 feet and I may now kiss my bride. Reception? I got this-I can cook. - Asian fusion, Lobster, Shrimp, Wagyu Beef. After the tans are in place...a week in London where we'll take silly pictures crossing Abbey Road then listen to ELO play at Royal Albert Hall. lmk. K. Thx!
